When this couple rented a hotel room they were told how many people could stay in the room, it was 4. They were also told that only paid guests could enjoy the amenities like the indoor pool. They ending up throwing a pool party for their daughter at the hotel pool. I must add, the drone lowered down below the roof line of my home and hovered over the pool. That is in my personal space. It was so low, I was sitting under an umbrella in my pool and my vision was blocked off by the umbrella. My personal fenced area was invaded! I have reached out to my State Senator for assistance. We need better laws to protect private citizens!

I have had the WORST experience with pool companies since installing my pool in 2015. Last summer I only got to swim TWICE as I believe the pool company sold me the wrong chemicals to sabotage me because of my political affiliations. Not even kidding. I was with them for five years and could tell something was off. They were borderline disrespectful. But I’m all like, look homie. I just want a clean pool to swim in. It’s really not that deep. I reached out to C & S Pool Services and they got right to work and saved my summer! 10/10 HIGHLY recommend. Super happy. Central Kentucky, beware of other pool companies. cspools

I take the cash & build these. That way I don’t have to go through process of construction loans & bank inspections on progress. I either keep them as rentals or sell them. With zero debt on my new builds it gives me a massive influx of cash when they sell (or massive monthly income if I keep them as vacation rentals). They take me about 6-8 months to build one and often I’ll have multiple going at the same time.

This pool guy was called to find a leak that no one else could find. Within a little while he detected the leak around a jet. He wasn’t sure why no one could find it. The only way to permanently fix the leak was to jackhammer into the concrete and replace the pipe which would roughly cost $5K. Or, you could temporarily fix the leak with some putty for about $25. This is why I don’t own a pool anymore. If it could go wrong it would. Seems like there is always an issue with a pool. If you were the homeowner, would you spend the $5K to replace the pipe and not worry about it for a long time or would you just keep temporarily fixing it with putty?

This woman, a fellow North Texan, had a 40,000 gallon, ten foot deep, salt water Gunite pool, spa, patio, planter overlooking the pool, waterfalls, swim up bar, and more constructed in her backyard for $178K! Looks awesome doesn’t it? Stamped and painted concrete, lights that change colors, the whole nine yards. But if you look closer, you start to see the issues. Cracks in the concrete, tiles uneven, a patio that pools up water, an unfinished planter, etc. the list goes on and on. When she pointed out these defects to the construction company, they walked off the job failing to complete the work. So what does someone do? In North Texas there seems to be a whole lot of protection for the contractor but very little for the consumer. In this type of situation they were paying on a schedule-- 25% for this, 25% for the next phase and so on. She is not going to name the company just yet as legalities enter the picture. There are dates in play and August 11th is a date circled on the calendar. In Texas you have something like 30 days to notify the contractor of issues and then they have something like 30-60 days to respond whether they are going to fix the issues, offer money, etc. They started in December and it is now July. 🤯 Before you say that’s way too much, this pool and backyard has all the upgrades. The planter was to have two fire bowls on each end, waterfalls and then plants and flowers overlooking the pool. A diving board, a lounge pool, a spa that seats 8-10 people, custom tile and decorative trim, lit stairs. They went all out. But now she is stuck with all the issues and flaws and cannot get anyone else willing to finish the work. Yep, first world problems but you would definitely want everything perfect for that amount of money. 100% perfect. 💯 This is exactly why I’m hesitant to have an underground pool installed with a patio and all. Too many worries about upkeep and the job being done right. Issues like this seem to rampant. Some people seems to have some good luck and others seem to have nothing but nightmares. You are the homeowner- list the steps you would take in this situation.
