100% A 3 lane road doesn't mean that there has to be 3 vehicles in each lane - it just increases the risk, try to maintain distance and drive on lesser traffic spots

The driver was irresponsible. Didn't pay attention to the wheels of the bus. Tried to squeeze in between 2 vehicles. You should always drive safely. If you overspeed it'll hardly save you 30-40 mins. Those minutes are not worth losing your life over. Drive safe.

lights help at night but at day, we have to ensure there's enough CAS by observing the wheels etc. Horns help as well.

To be honest, buses shouldn’t be changing lanes without using their indicators. Also, the Creta on the right isn’t driving at the required speed for the fast lane. So, it makes sense for the dashcam driver to use the middle lane to overtake both vehicles.

No CAS. Wheels of the bus had already touched the lane marking and there's a car to the right. Enough reasons to not move ahead

How do you avoid this close call? Do not overtake on curves and the bus had already done that. Now to avoid a crash,we need to slow down and give it an exit route to go back to its lane. A late reaction by the driver created the situation. I would abort my overtake of Bolero after the first sight of the bus as slowing down might create a rear end situation as well.

This is from Chicago. (USA drives on the right). As you can see, buses do keep changing lanes and will stop frequently at bus stops. There is no dedicated bus lane. If you are behind a bus, you gotta wait, or find a way to safely change lanes. So when the local buses in India do it, please understand that it is quite normal. Pls Don’t honk, be patient. #RoadSafety TGSRTC

HOT WHEELS: Mechanical failure turning a Jacksonville bus into a fireball on wheels on the side of Florida’s Arlington Expressway. The blaze started after a tire caught fire and spread throughout the vehicle. No passengers were on board the bus and no injuries were reported from the fire.

But we had never thought that this could happen to our vehicle. We used to hear of things like this in Kashmir but this area was safe. We never thought that this could happen to us. As soon as the bus left in the morning, we received a call at 5 o'clock that there had been firing on our vehicle...When we did a little investigation, we came to know that it was an attack by militants...Passengers told us that the militant got into the bus and told the driver to make the passengers deboard the bus. Driver sensed that the man was a militant. He refused to make the passengers deboard, he sped up the bus. As soon as he sped up the bus, the militant fired a bullet. The bus lost balance but the driver kept driving. When the driver didn't stop, he (militant) shot him in the head and killed him...Then the conductor took hold of the steering. As soon as he did that, the militant shot 3-4 bullets at the conductor too. He killed them both. The bus lost balance and fell into a gorge. Had the driver not shown a presence of mind, no passenger would have survived. They might have even set the bus on fire. The driver did good and sacrificed himself for the 40 passengers."

Once again; driving across 3 lanes of traffic instead of turning into the nearest lane is extremely dangerous and illegal- To review- In Texas, when turning right, you must generally turn into the nearest available lane in your direction of travel, which is usually the rightmost lane, and avoid cutting across lanes during the turn; if you need a different lane, you must complete the turn first, then signal and merge safely, as turning across multiple lanes during the maneuver is illegal and dangerous.
