Soviet circus acrobat, Valentin Dikul, performing his power juggling act in 1985. The sphere balls weighed 88 lbs (40 kg) each. At age 14, Dikul was seriously injured during a gymnastic performance when a steel support cross beam broke, causing him to fall 43 ft (13 meters) and fracture... his spine and suffer a traumatic brain injury. As part of his recovery process, Dikul began to train 5 to 6 hours a day stretching rubber bands, lifting heavy objects and doing push-ups. However, he was unable to even move his legs. Doctors told him that there was no hope that he would be able to walk again, but Dikul persisted by continuing to workout everyday until he would pass out from exhaustion. As he began to develop more muscles on his chest, body and arms, Dikul would incrementally increase the weights. Once he regained his upper body strength, he began to tie ropes to his feet and move them using a pulley system. At first he would move them just by pulling the ropes with his hands, then he began using counterweight loads. After 8 months, Dikul was discharged from the hospital. His story was told in the media and he became bombarded with letters asking for help. Dikul spent 3 to 4 hours a day responding to people and would send them instructions on his method of rehabilitation. In 1988, Dikul opened up a rehabilitation center to help people with spinal injuries. He is still heading it to this day and is alive and well.show more

With just a few steps of his long, gangly, earthworm-like legs, he would propel himself into the sky and see the swampy wetlands from a new perspective. Six steps in, and he could feel his body become weightless, so he flapped his little, nubby wings with everything he had. 8 steps in, and he couldn’t help but smile because his moment of graceful flight was imminent! From an early age, he showed a remarkable talent for music. He would go on to become a priest, a composer, and one of the greatest collectors and preservers of Armenian folk music. He traveled across villages, listening to the songs of the people, writing them down, and arranging them so that they would never be lost. His work gave Armenia its musical soul and identity. But during the Armenian Genocide in 1915, he was arrested and witnessed unimaginable horrors. Though he survived, the trauma broke him. He spent the rest of his life in asylums, silent and tormented, until he passed away in 1935. Yet his music lives on! A testament to a culture that refused to be erased. Jonni Skinner is a heroic young man Jonni S🦎. If you are willing to understand what Gender Affirming "Care" actually entails from what it looks like in a gender clinic here in Michigan, please listen to his experience. He was naturally effeminate and gay as a boy where he was therefore not accepted by many around him. He sought answers for the traumas he was living through. At 13 years old, he was placed on a medicalized path at the University of Michigan to attempt to change him into a girl. The doctor contended that he was not gay, he was just a girl. He was diagnosed with "tall stature" because the doctor told him if he was too tall as a girl, he would not be able to find a mate. They therefore deliberately stunted his growth as if being tall was a disease. He was 5'7 at the time. Nine years later, he is 5'8. He was diagnosed with an endocrine disorder related puberty that he did not have to be placed on puberty blockers and cross sex hormones. The doctor used fraudulent coding more than 100 times in his medical records. He was prescribed "affirming gear" where they sent him to a sex shop across the state in Wyandotte. His doctors fearmongered him and his mother saying the phrase "would you like to have a dead son, or a living daughter". They threatened to take him from his mother if she refused their malicious pharmaceutical path. His doctor ignored the ailments related to the powerful drugs he was placed on and dismissed the sexual disfunction they were causing him by saying he could seek other means of "pleasure". The doctors ultimately ghosted him in 2021 by legitimately hanging up on him and never speaking with him again. His unique ailments related to this "care" have him being turned away from doctors today. He deserves justice and actual care. We hope to aid him in that endeavor.
