And this was never about cheaper satellites, though it delivers those too, feeding the thousands of birds in China's Starlink rival. Its deeper purpose is the Moon. That booster shares its core with the rocket meant to land Chinese astronauts on the lunar surface by 2030. In the same season, America's own Moon rocket, Starship, has flown 12 times and still has not shown the single maneuver its lunar plan depends on. One flight does not dethrone SpaceX. It has landed hundreds. What ended today is not SpaceX's lead. It is Uncle Sam’s belief that it owns the only road to the Moon. The piece works out which way of coming home actually wins.

SpaceX has officially acquired xAI and this is a HUGE deal, probably bigger than most people realize. SpaceX + xAI together are about to build a single, vertically integrated engine that connects AI, rockets, space based internet, and real time information all into one unified system. At the core of this announcement is the fact that AI can’t scale forever on Earth. Think about it. Data centers are already running into hard limits with power, cooling, land, and environmental cost. On top of this, global AI electricity demand is exploding, and doing all of this on the ground just doesn’t scale long term. Therefore Space changes this. In orbit, you can get things like near-constant solar power, you don’t have cooling problems, there’s minimal land/environmental impact, and you can build systems that can run continuously with minimal maintenance. This is why space-based AI is actually very practical and there’s only one company that can do it, which is SpaceX! The scale that SpaceX is aiming for is pretty wild. Elon is talking about 1/ 1 million satellites acting as orbital data centers, and 2/ Launching ~1 million tons of satellites per year Which means 3/ At 100 kW per ton, that’s 100 gigawatts of AI compute every year 4/ And that can scale to 1 terawatt per year. FYI, adding 100 GW of new compute capacity annually in space would be like building out roughly 20-25% of the USA’s total average electricity demand every single year. And scaling to 1 TW/year would exceed the nation’s entire power usage, ALL without burdening Earth’s grids! Bro… this is next level… I repeat, as of today, SpaceX is the ONLY company positioned to do this, especially with Starship - the largest flying vehicle ever. In the future, Elon’s saying the team is going to have Starship launch 200 tons at a time, on an HOURLY basis… WTF?! That’s is absolutely mind boggling. In my opinion, whichever company builds the lowest cost AI compute is going to be the first company that defines the next era of AI, which will all be in space… and my $ is that SpaceX is going to be the first one to do it. Then, when you zoom out even further, this will unlock things most people aren’t even thinking about yet today bc it’s too sci-fi. Like, • Powering lunar bases • In-space propellant transfer • Manufacturing in orbit and on the Moon • Deep-space AI infrastructure using massive solar collectors • Self-growing civilizations on the Moon, Mars, and beyond By tapping into space’s unlimited solar energy, this is how we get to a Kardashev-level civilization! So for SpaceX, the faster Starship progresses, there will be massive new revenue streams and will lead in building out space-based AI infrastructures. For xAI, AI scales without ruining Earth, deeply integrated with everything SpaceX is building, further understanding the universe. For us humans, AI will grow without destroying the planet, and there’s a real path to becoming multi-planetary. I believe SpaceX acquiring xAI is officially the blueprint for where AI, energy, and humanity are headed. Congratulations to everyone, this is such an exciting time to be alive!

OPINION: 2006 ELON’S PROMISE TO FUND SPACEX WASN’T A FLEX… IT WAS A PLEDGE TO THE WORLD HE KNEW WAS COMING Watch that clip again. 34-year-old Elon, sitting in front of a half-built Falcon 1, saying the quiet part out loud: “I’m prepared to fund this all the way until SpaceX is the world’s top launch company… absolutely.” He wasn’t bragging. He was taking a zealot, making a vow in an empty church. Back then the scoreboard read: - 3 straight Falcon 1 failures, - $100 M of his own money already torched, - NASA laughing him out of the room, - Every “smart” investor running for the exits. And this man looked straight into the camera and basically said: “If the entire world says no, I will still say yes until physics itself bends.” Most founders pivot when the runway runs out. Elon didn’t, he doubled down so hard he almost went personally bankrupt. The 4th flight (the one that finally reached orbit in 2008) was literally his last dollar. He had already written the goodbye emails to employees in case it blew up again. It reached the sky, and the trajectory of human history tilted. Fast-forward to 2025: - SpaceX is worth more than Boeing, Lockheed, and NASA’s entire budget combined. - Starship towers over the same Texas mud where that skinny kid once stood. Data centers in space is coming, and it makes sense, right? If you think about what SpaceX is talking about with Starship going to the moon—you’re going to need compute, especially as you start to think about Optimus robots building bases on the moon, later Mars. You’re going to need large amounts of compute. Not to mention a lot of the things that we do here on Earth, you’re gonna want to do there in space. And it’s a lot more efficient to do it, especially in hostile environments, if you can automate more of that—things like mining, for example. And so you’re gonna see data centers in space, and I’m sure we’re definitely gonna be a part of it. "What do you think about SpaceX’s rumored IPO for 2026?" "I mean, I think SpaceX is an incredible company and they have a ton of value. So I don’t have any insider information here—but I would say, hey, if the world can get access to SpaceX, I think that’s a good thing. Starlink is really amazing in the sense that it just continues to get better so fast. They’re rolling out in new countries every week in major markets. Just as a real recent example, just this last week they launched in South Korea—big market and an important ally for the US, so that’s a big deal. They’re also expanding the types of services that are available. It started as a consumer product, then they brought it to enterprise. Initially that was used more as a backup, and now it’s being used more as a primary—and that is because the service keeps getting better and better as more satellites go up into the sky. Each generation of satellite is also better, not to mention the terminals on the ground. There’s now multiple types of terminals, including the more recent minis that people really like—“Hey, I can put it in a backpack if I go on a hike or if I’m traveling. I can put it on the ski rack of my car.” Perfect internet all the time. All that does for us is it gives us more use cases that we can unlock. Now that you have connectivity on the oil rig, or on a farm, or a ranch—wherever you are—we can apply the AI to those situations on the ground without latency, and then send the metadata back to some other location that they want it. Part of the full-stack approach. And also with Starshield—that’s a huge advantage when you think about some of the conflicts that are going on. People talk to me a lot about this race with China and the geopolitical conflicts around the world. I am very grateful that SpaceX is an American company. I feel like it’s an unfair advantage that we have with Starshield available to the DoD. We want to be the first mover with the infrastructure and the AI to help solve problems at the edge, and the work we’re doing with the Navy is a good example of that."

Watching Starship Flight 13 yesterday made me incredibly proud to be an American. 🇺🇸 Love him or hate him, there has only been one Steve Jobs. There has only been one Henry Ford. There has only been one Thomas Edison. And there is only one Elon Musk. America has always been the place where people with impossible ideas come to build them. That’s what has made this country so special and the leader of entrepreneurship for generations. Yesterday was another reminder of that for me. SpaceX launched Starship Flight 13, successfully deployed 20 next-generation Starlink V3 satellites, restarted a Raptor engine in space, and brought Starship back through one of its BEST reentries yet before making its softest, most controlled splashdown ever in the Indian Ocean. The ship remained intact after landing, giving SpaceX another huge amount of real-world data to improve reusability. However, the Super Heavy booster didn’t complete its planned landing bc not enough engines relit for the final burn, but that’s exactly why these are called TEST flights… every flight teaches the team something new. Starship’s landing was so controlled that it makes me confident we’re getting closer to seeing the first catch of the ship by the launch tower. Whether that’s the very next flight or one after that, the progress is what’s is impossible to ignore. This is why I love America. It’s still the country where people are willing to bet everything on ideas that most of the world says can’t be done. The rest of the world watches these launches because they know history is being written in real time right now. We don’t have to agree on everything to appreciate what we’re witnessing. Starship is humanity building the transportation system that could one day make life multiplanetary. Right now is the best time to be alive, especially an American.

Imagine if someone told you have to catch the biggest flying object in the world as it's falls back to Earth faster than a speeding bullet, all so it can get reused and can be launched again back into space. I bet most people would throw in the towel right there, shaking their heads like, "No way, that's impossible." But not Elon. I’m talking about SpaceX's Starship, THE vehicle that will be used to make life multiplanetary. Back in October 2024, during their fifth test flight, Elon's team pulled off something straight out of a sci-fi movie. The Super Heavy booster, the bottom part of the rocket, towering over 200 feet tall, blasted off from their Starbase in Texas, sent the upper stage soaring, and then came roaring back. Instead of letting it splash down in the ocean or crash, they caught it mid-air with these giant mechanical arms on the launch tower, nicknamed "Mechazilla,” bringing it to a gentle stop. It was the first time ever, and it worked flawlessly on the very first try. What people don’t realize is each catch saves $ millions in costs, makes space travel cheaper, and gets us one step closer to putting people on Mars or the Moon for good. Reusable rockets is like re-charging your Tesla, instead of buying a new one after every trip. It's game changer for humanity's future. What inspires me about Elon is that drive… it’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I would say I’m very driven, but this man is at a different level. Most people see “impossible” and step back, but Elon sees “impossible” and goes head in first. And history always changes bc of the ones that do the impossible. And I believe history will recognize Elon as the greatest entrepreneur in history.
