HEAD TO HEAD: WAYMO VS TESLA ROBOTAXI Although Waymo has operated its robotaxi service for several years, Tesla Robotaxi already offers more confident and comfortable rides for passengers. This week, Elon noticed me. He thanked me in a post, he reposted me driving the new Model Y, but he doesn’t yet know the dedication I put in as a Tesla employee, to the point of sleeping in my car on-site just to give more to the mission. During my last quarter, I was battling cancer but still led the company as the number one in demo drives, pushing through excruciating pain. My last day, shown in these pictures, we won Most Interactive Vendor for a reason. We didn’t stop until everyone at that event test drove a Tesla. Then the 10% staff cut happened. I was still receiving treatment, so I was let go so Tesla could fill my shoes. But I beat cancer, and now I’m fighting against the nearly impossible odds of getting rehired at Tesla. I’m sharing my story with 𝕏 and the Tesla community, hoping my passion is noticed. Maybe, just maybe, I’ll get the chance to do it all again. 🫶🏻

I drove Tesla for the first time; I felt happy like a child for the first 10 minutes, and was totally disappointed the rest of the ride The autopilot feature is not available in the EU, but even the lane-control works extremely badly Tesla didn't recognize road works and almost crushed me into a barrier Then it went completely crazy on a temporary orange lane and started wiggling around The assistant consistently missed lanes and ignored speed limit signs, so I had to disable the assistant and drive manually I drove an electric BMW i4 before, and it had a much better cruise control and assistant (it boggles my mind that BMW kicked Tesla's ass in software) With BMW, I never had to touch the gas pedal and drove the car just using cruise control and speed limit assistant You could also set a speed limit, and even if you pressed full gas, it never crossed, which was handy in a city Tesla is still an insane product, the interior and exterior design are amazing, but it feels like an app with an amazing frontend and a very poor backend (at least in the EU) Driving gave me a lot of motivation to make more $$$, and I will still probably get a Tesla, and not a BMW bz BMW is a car for boomers

Elon just clarified the plan for building the TERAFAB. The Advanced Technology Fab built at Giga Texas will not be “the TERAFAB.” It will be a smaller fab where they will iterate on chip designs. The TERAFAB wouldn’t even fit on the Giga Texas campus. Several sites for the TERAFAB are under consideration, and it will need thousands of acres and over 10 GW of power at full scale. My opinion: To put this in perspective, Tesla would need 2,000-5,000 acres for the entire TERAFAB lot. This would equal ~87-200 million square feet of available land space for power and battery backup with Megapacks, with ~20-60 million square feet of available space for the actual building. Just for reference, backing up a facility like this with a ~5-15 minute battery backup would require 168 Megapacks and it would for sure need its own power production such as natural gas turbines or maybe even its own dedicated power plant. Today I saw a semi-truck completely flipped over. I bet a Tesla Semi won’t have this problem… No vehicle can eliminate every crash, and physics always wins. But this is exactly why I believe electric trucks equipped with technologies like FSD are the future. Every year, around 500,000 crashes in the U.S. involve large trucks. More than 5,000 people lose their lives, and over 160,000 are injured. Rollover crashes are especially dangerous for truck drivers because of the massive weight, high center of gravity, and the forces involved. Tesla designed the Semi with safety as the priority from day one. It has a low center of gravity bc the battery pack sits beneath the cab, helping improve stability. It also includes advanced cameras, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warnings, and other driver-assistance features that can help reduce the chances of serious crashes. Technology won’t prevent every single accident, but if we can use better engineering and smarter software to reduce even a small percentage of these crashes, that will save thousands of lives over time. I can’t wait for the day when seeing a flipped-over semi becomes much rarer than it is today bc of the Tesla Semi.

Rivian is releasing this super cool Halloween update where you can “dress up” your Rivian in one of three themes. Another showcase of their vertical integration of software / hardware / fun engineers! The “Trunk or Treat” option is perfect for leaving your Rivian in the driveway to create a spooky aura during the trick-or-treat hours 😱. There are a few different freaky music choices but the best part is you can select from a bunch of different scary sounds from a sound board on your mobile app to freak people out as they approach your truck. This comes on top of the other fantastic improvements found in the software package 2024.39 - which include a gauge cluster refresh, third zone climate control (rear can now be set to a different temp), and more! DarkCoinDAO DarkCoinDAO 🤝 #rxelms We’re building a basic first person shooter to keep the #community entertained while we build the rxelms. People will only be able to select NFT based characters if they own the corresponding NFT. The rxelms FPS mini game will allow for community made, NFT based weapons, weapon skins and poses/emotes. We’ll provide documentation and guides on how the community can take part in the creation of these items. People who don’t own an NFT from a rxelms partner project will be able to select a humanoid character. We plan on working with NFT project leads/managers and the community in general to develop unique characteristics for the in-game play style of each character, things like special weapons, speed, agility, strength, etc. Over-time we hope this will create a fun, fair and competitive #game. Maybe those #MNGO/Vlad, limited edition sneakers make you run a little faster in the FPS. The FPS will also have a play to earn aspect. Project managers will be given the option to allow their #rxelm to be used as a map for the FPS, we may look at ways to add another revenue stream for partner projects by giving them a cut of any token exchanges that occur through the #FPS mini-game. Future Mini-Games​ We're also looking into developing two other mini-games, a Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat style game and a Twisted Metal style game. Pest Control “secret” for those small annoying flies that bug you while watching tv (feel free to repost since we’re moving into bug season in many areas): As we move into late spring/early summer months in US, many people like to leave doors open. Sometimes you’ll get an influx of small flies. There are 3 main species of flies that buzz around your head while sitting on the couch. The fruit fly, the phorid fly and the fungus gnat. If you see a small fly just “sitting” on your wall or a few small flies hanging out on the wall near your garbage can, it could be the fruit fly. I won’t go into boring details of how to tell various species apart, but will share one trick that can help reduce their population. First, keep your doors shut as much as possible. They gain entry usually that way, then find a source to breed in. To help reduce the breeding adults, 1) Grab a clear bowl or glass and place some red wine (or a few pieces of banana) in the glass. 2) Put some clear Saran Wrap or cling wrap on top fairly tight. 3) Next grab a pencil or pen and poke 4-6 holes in the wrap. This will allow the aroma of the fruit or wine to be strong as it comes out of the glass and will attract the flies 4) The flies will be immediately attracted to the bowl/cup and make their way into the holes you poked. Once in, they’ll drink the wine, or feed on the bananas and can’t get out. I prefer wine since they get drunk and drown. Bananas won’t kill them. Wine will. 5) Discard every 7 days and repeat. The best approach is to find the source of their breeding. Garbage disposal? (Bleach doesn’t work by the way) Garbage can? Debris under refrigerator? Also, re the fungus gnat species. This will not work. They feed on fungus, generally from overwatered potted plants inside or doors left open near extremely damp exterior area. One other method that is highly effective are the small plug in light traps. A combination of the above along with a plug in light trap will keep most fly issues at bay.

Woah... the Tesla Semi is no joke. The Tesla team really made it the best semi truck in the world. Just check out the main stats shared from Jay Leno's video. • It goes 500-miles for the long-range model, tested fully loaded and also has a a 325-mile standard-range option available - they both handle max payload • It does 1.2 MW charging, which recovers ~60% of the battery (~300 miles of range) in just 30 minutes during mandatory driver breaks • Has a drag coefficient of ~0.4, which is lower than a Bugatti Veyron bc of the bullet-shaped cab and radical center-driver seating (fyi this is a ~7% improvement over previous design) • The battery is engineered to last 1 million miles, has the same cells as the Cybertruck • It's 50% cheaper to operate in California and nearly 20% cheaper per mile nationwide, this includes everything like energy, maintenance, no oil changes • While Jay Leno was hauling 60-70,000 lbs GVW, he said “I don’t even feel like I’m pulling anything…” • The Tesla Semi fleet already logged >13.5 million miles total, with one truck approaching 440,000 miles with 95% uptime • It's ~1,000 lbs lighter overall + 2,000 lb EV weight exemption keeps it at full payload parity with diesel trucks • Regen braking is so strong it descends steep grades at highway speed with almost zero use of service brakes • The truck is proven in Alaska winters with heat pump and minimal range loss • It has a turning radius like a Model 3/Y despite being a full-size Class 8 truck • Tesla has a new dedicated factory near Giga Reno ramping high-volume production this year (tens of thousands annually) with strong customer demand already locked in If I were a business, the Tesla Semi is a no-brainer!
