There's something very funny about Optimus explaining first principles. A humanoid robot calmly describing the mindset that helped create rockets, EVs, factories, and eventually itself. First principles thinking is basically Elon refusing to accept the “because that’s how it’s always done” answer. At Tesla and SpaceX, the question is not only how to make the old thing better. It is whether the old thing should exist in that form at all. Why throw away a rocket booster if the physics says it can come back? Why build an EV like a compliance car if batteries, software, motors, and factories can be redesigned around performance and scale? They strip the problem down to physics, materials, cost, and function, then rebuild upward from what is actually true. Very useful for building things that did not exist before. This week, Elon noticed me. He thanked me in a post, he reposted me driving the new Model Y, but he doesn’t yet know the dedication I put in as a Tesla employee, to the point of sleeping in my car on-site just to give more to the mission. During my last quarter, I was battling cancer but still led the company as the number one in demo drives, pushing through excruciating pain. My last day, shown in these pictures, we won Most Interactive Vendor for a reason. We didn’t stop until everyone at that event test drove a Tesla. Then the 10% staff cut happened. I was still receiving treatment, so I was let go so Tesla could fill my shoes. But I beat cancer, and now I’m fighting against the nearly impossible odds of getting rehired at Tesla. I’m sharing my story with 𝕏 and the Tesla community, hoping my passion is noticed. Maybe, just maybe, I’ll get the chance to do it all again. 🫶🏻

I drove Tesla for the first time; I felt happy like a child for the first 10 minutes, and was totally disappointed the rest of the ride The autopilot feature is not available in the EU, but even the lane-control works extremely badly Tesla didn't recognize road works and almost crushed me into a barrier Then it went completely crazy on a temporary orange lane and started wiggling around The assistant consistently missed lanes and ignored speed limit signs, so I had to disable the assistant and drive manually I drove an electric BMW i4 before, and it had a much better cruise control and assistant (it boggles my mind that BMW kicked Tesla's ass in software) With BMW, I never had to touch the gas pedal and drove the car just using cruise control and speed limit assistant You could also set a speed limit, and even if you pressed full gas, it never crossed, which was handy in a city Tesla is still an insane product, the interior and exterior design are amazing, but it feels like an app with an amazing frontend and a very poor backend (at least in the EU) Driving gave me a lot of motivation to make more $$$, and I will still probably get a Tesla, and not a BMW bz BMW is a car for boomers

Elon just clarified the plan for building the TERAFAB. The Advanced Technology Fab built at Giga Texas will not be “the TERAFAB.” It will be a smaller fab where they will iterate on chip designs. The TERAFAB wouldn’t even fit on the Giga Texas campus. Several sites for the TERAFAB are under consideration, and it will need thousands of acres and over 10 GW of power at full scale. My opinion: To put this in perspective, Tesla would need 2,000-5,000 acres for the entire TERAFAB lot. This would equal ~87-200 million square feet of available land space for power and battery backup with Megapacks, with ~20-60 million square feet of available space for the actual building. Just for reference, backing up a facility like this with a ~5-15 minute battery backup would require 168 Megapacks and it would for sure need its own power production such as natural gas turbines or maybe even its own dedicated power plant. Today I saw a semi-truck completely flipped over. I bet a Tesla Semi won’t have this problem… No vehicle can eliminate every crash, and physics always wins. But this is exactly why I believe electric trucks equipped with technologies like FSD are the future. Every year, around 500,000 crashes in the U.S. involve large trucks. More than 5,000 people lose their lives, and over 160,000 are injured. Rollover crashes are especially dangerous for truck drivers because of the massive weight, high center of gravity, and the forces involved. Tesla designed the Semi with safety as the priority from day one. It has a low center of gravity bc the battery pack sits beneath the cab, helping improve stability. It also includes advanced cameras, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warnings, and other driver-assistance features that can help reduce the chances of serious crashes. Technology won’t prevent every single accident, but if we can use better engineering and smarter software to reduce even a small percentage of these crashes, that will save thousands of lives over time. I can’t wait for the day when seeing a flipped-over semi becomes much rarer than it is today bc of the Tesla Semi.

Just weeks ago I considered this to be a map of Superchargers. The foundation that made EV’s a going concern for the first time. But it’s not. These dots represent fully permitted and built power stations in an era where every AI player is trying to figure out how to get power for compute. This is the largest electrical power moat I’ve ever seen that can fully supply current and future charging needs while collecting and storing cheaper power during off-peak to supply an AI revolution. Elon doesn’t care who knows anymore. 2nd place is… crumbs. AWS was built from excess server space needed during peak demand. Now it’s bigger and more valuable than the core Amazon retail business. Tesla is about to drop a hardware smackdown right in the face of software engineers. AI prototypes are easy. Scaling is hard. If only Tesla had a factory pouring out millions of chips each year that are underutilized 95% of the time. Each with their own battery storage. Imagine that. Tesla could call them ‘cars’. And that power moat? It’s all fully upgradable. It’s primed to be tripled. Only a handful of Tesla charging stations currently have solar and/or Megapacks. For 14 years Tesla has permitted and built the gas stations of the future around the world. Everyone said it would fail. All of them were wrong. And now Tesla is in a process of creating a possible 10x value stamp on those stations that should have never been built. It makes you wonder, When a vehicle now leaves the Tesla factory; how do we even begin to calculate the economic production that it will generate during its lifetime? It’s a Robotaxi, energy storage, and a fully sealed/cooled compute processor. They may as well start shitting gold out of a tailpipe.

The haters told me I’d never own a Tesla Model X. Then I bought one. They told me I’d never own a Cyberbeast. Then I got one… and put tens of thousands of miles on it. They told me leaving Apple was crazy… that walking away from a great career to bet on myself was a mistake. Then I became financially free, built my own business, started making more $ doing what I love, and got my time back. They told me posting about Tesla and Elon every day was a waste of time and wasn’t exciting. Then that little account turned into Teslaconomics… it opened doors I never expected. I went from watching Tesla launches online to getting invited into the room. From talking about Robotaxis to actually riding them. From dreaming about the future to sitting inside a Cybercab with no steering wheel and no pedals while it drove me around Austin. And through all of it, there has always been somebody saying: “You’ll never do that.” “You’ll never get that.” “That’s not going to happen.” I’ve learned something over the years… Often times the best thing you can do is stop arguing with people and just keep building your life. Don’t waste your time and energy on them. Let the results answer for you. Now I can’t wait to see their faces when the next-gen Tesla Roadster is sitting in my garage. SpaceX package if Tesla lets me. Some people see something they’ll never have in life. I see the next thing I’m actually going to own. See you when it gets here. And I’ll be smiling at all of them again, saying I told you so, again.
