The Big Boy German WWII Karl-Gerät was a massive self-propelled siege mortar designed and built by Rheinmetall, also known as Mörser Karl after General Karl Heinrich Becker. Seven were produced from 1940-1942, each weighing 124-127 short tons in firing position. The main 600mm version fired a shell of 4,780lb that could punch through over 8 ft of concrete and made a crater up to 15m (49ft) wide and 5m (16ft) deep. They saw action at Brest-Litovsk, Sevastopol, the Warsaw Uprising, and even tried hitting the Ludendorff Bridge at Remagen. Reports say the explosion was felt as far as 3+ miles away. Some have stated this may have been a car bomb however I do not believe that to be the case, as no car or car remnants can be seen in photos or videos. After releasing cctv footage of 2 men who each stole a custom leather Digital Spenders Club jacket at our Miami Accelerate pop up, we received a flood of tips, photos, videos, and messages of support from so many of you (as well as some embarrassing attempts at rage bait engagement farming) Today, thanks to some serendipitous filming, we are releasing clear photos of the two clowns who thought they were better than everyone else. We’ve cross-referenced time stamps and the cctv footage to confirm beyond a shadow of a doubt that these are our culprits. If anyone knows who they are, PLEASE DM us, publicly name them, or shame them however you see fit. Let’s make sure they know this rugger behavior has no place in our community. Everyone is talking about this video, but I think this is two people trying to avoid each other and Conner just making a mistake at the shortstop position. The slide is clearly off the base and then he comes clearly off the base to meet the slide. I think he had it pre-decided in his mind that he was going to try to avoid a direct slide and they just ended up at the same place. I could be wrong unless the shortstop is trying to get some sort of obstruction or interference call #raisethecone #pittsburg #Pirates #Raysup #Tampa #Mlb

This 30-ton autonomous planter can sow 400 hectares in 24 hours. It also significantly degrades 400 hectares of soil in 24 hours. A planter of this size aggressively compacts the soil surface and pulverizes the critical soil aggregates. Just look at the plume of topsoil left in the planter's wake. Arguably worse than surface compaction is the subsurface compaction caused by the force of a 30-ton machine traveling over the field. An initial compaction layer develops as deep as 2 feet and continues upward as new hardpan layers form on top of each other with each subsequent pass of the planter. Eventually, the subsurface compaction meets the surface compaction, and what remains is soil with no water-holding capacity, devoid of life, without the ability to cycle nutrients and generally inhospitable to crops. Despite its speed and efficiency, this planter ultimately takes the life out of farming, from the soil on up to the human operator.

GERMANY MOVES TO KILL ITS BITCOIN TAX HAVEN Germany's Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil has finalized a plan to abolish the country's one-year tax-free crypto holding exemption from 2027, ending one of Europe's most generous long-term holding regimes. Under current rules, German investors who hold bitcoin:native or other crypto for more than 12 months pay zero tax on disposal. Under Klingbeil's plan, gains would be taxed at the standard 25% capital gains rate plus a solidarity surcharge, regardless of holding period, treating crypto like stocks. The change is embedded in the 2027 federal budget, targeting €2 billion in new annual revenue and a €98 billion deficit. It's the fourth attempt to scrap the exemption in 18 months.
