GTA 6 launching this late on a console generation means that Rockstar Games probably had to cut a lot of stuff or tone down the graphics in order to make the game run on base consoles. They're taking full advantage of these consoles' power and I think when the next-gen edition comes out, it will be a massive jump, similar to GTA 5 when it came out for PS4 and PC. That's the biggest jump we've seen a Rockstar game make and I wouldn't be surprised if a similar thing happens when GTA 6 comes out for PC and next-gen consoles. If the PS6 launches in late 2027 as some rumors suggest, the timeline falls in line with GTA 5 next-gen release which took 14 months to release for PC and PS4. Though I don't expect GTA 6 next-gen edition and PC version to launch at the same time due to current market conditions (the PS6 could be delayed to 2028) and I'm really hoping the PC port wont take that long to come out.

To give you a perspective on how advanced the NPC interaction system in GTA VI is going to be, here's a direct comparison between GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 In GTA V, the only option is to greet or insult NPCs depending on the character that you're playing as, in this case here Trevor will insult them. Red Dead Redemption 2 on the other hand has a completely different NPC interaction system where you have the option to greet, antagonize or rob NPCs. These options alone can give you the freedom to greet an NPC first, then immediately antagonize them to allow for different outcomes based on how you choose to interact with NPCs. This alone was a game changer and you can expect Grand Theft Auto VI to have an even more complex NPC interaction system compared to Red Dead Redemption 2, with more dialogue options and different outcomes. Its probably one of the reasons why GTA VI is taking much longer to develop, imagine how many lines of dialogue Rockstar Games had to record and make all of them work seamlessly by the time the game comes out.

Hijack the limo convoy, fend off the rival family, get the bride to the temple on time. All while firing out the window of a flower covered SUV. Physics got a rework too. Pile more people onto a bus roof or truck bed, and the handling, balance, suspension all shift with the weight. Built on Unity, using GTA 5 as the base. Claude Code and Python did the heavy lifting on rewriting it. Sometimes the winning move is just making something genuinely funny.

In San Andreas, dating is an actual system. After Burning Desire you pick up Denise and take her out — food, dancing, driving — and you can build the relationship the same way with several other girlfriends. GTA 4 keeps that idea. After Three’s a Crowd you meet Michelle through Mallorie, Roman’s girlfriend. First Date is the required bowling date, then you can keep taking her out. Later you can date other women too. The Ballad of Gay Tony is the GTA 4 DLC where you play Luis, working for gay nightclub owner Tony Prince. In GTA 5 Franklin lost his girlfriend to a doctor. There is a mission where a crack whore makes him pick up beaters for her boyfriend like a bitch. Michael’s wife cheats on him multiple times in his own bed! Can someone please tell me why all this is ok but they hate that GTA 6 has a heterosexual relationship in the story?

Every fish you catch in GTA 6 has to be thrown back. Fishing is as detailed as it was in Red Dead 2, but Rob Nelson said keeping the fish didn’t fit GTA 6. That was only one of the new side activity details TGG revealed after speaking to him at Rockstar North: - Hunting is different. It earns money and is introduced through a character who already knows Jason. - The gym TGG saw required Jason and Lucia to buy a membership at the front desk before using it. - If they visit together, the character you are not controlling works out beside you. Rob described this as an “emergent date.” - Coffee and energy drinks temporarily boost stamina so you can get through more reps during a workout. - Weightlifting uses L2 and R2 to control each rep. Stamina drains as you lift and different exercises respond differently. - 3 strength exercises complete your workout for the day and increase health. Cardio increases stamina. - The game tracks whether Jason and Lucia are well rested. Sleep affects how quickly some attributes regenerate. - When swimming, the stamina bar changes into a lung capacity meter.

During WWII, Harry Miller served with the 740th Tank Battalion as a tank crewman. He shares an incredible story of another fellow soldier in his unit who was out on patrol in a jeep shortly before The Battle of the Bulge. A woman came walking through and was told to go home only for him to find out she was pregnant. His buddy then proceeded to take the woman to the hospital. Decades later, that same woman remembered him and named her son after him.

One of our mappers captured the Musée Archéologique du Val-d'Oise, home to more than 35,000 archaeological artifacts and over 3,000 objects on display. Using an Insta360 X5 and Over the Reality's reconstruction technology, the entire museum, including its multiple floors, has been transformed into a high-fidelity 3D Gaussian Splat and digital twin. This means anyone can now explore the museum remotely, walk through its galleries, move across different floors, and experience the space as if they were there in person. What was once a physical location is now a machine-readable 3D environment, preserved digitally and accessible through a browser, smartphone, or XR headset.
