Senate 'Republicans' are LYING to you. John Thune is avoiding a simple majority vote on the SAVE America Act because he does not actually want it to pass. He wants a failure vote to PROTECT the worst members of the Senate by giving them credit for a 'Yes' vote knowing it will fail because it needs 60 votes. This is worse than we thought... CEO of The Federalist Sean Davis: "We're actually getting a front row seat to a wonderful show that I like to call failure theater. It's been put on for years by Republicans." "They don't actually want to pass something. They don't really care what their own voters want. They care about delivering for K Street. So in this case, what they don't have the votes for is voter ID, voter security, election integrity, but they want to get credit for it, and the way they do that is they always set up these 60 vote thresholds, and those are great because you don't have 60 Republican senators, so they know it won't pass. Black people are unlikely to vote in any real numbers for Republicans in 2024. Not for Trump. Not for DeSantis. Not for Tim Scott. The angry response to this is because you've become so accustomed to being lied to and scammed that actual truth is this strange, foreign thing you're not used to. Does this mean that advocating for Conservatism in Black communities is a lost cause? Absolutely not. And I believe it is a worthy one for reasons BEYOND just attempting to gain more Republican votes. But anyone who is telling you the Black vote will be 20-25% for Republicans in 2024 is not being honest. In fact, they're lying. They lie to you about lots of things. This is only one of them.

What I want is for people who are not corrupt, who are well-informed about the issue, to figure out what the best level of immigration is and to set up a process that works. I don't want to see any illegals. I want to see people who come in legally. I want to see the number. Maybe it's a high number. Maybe it's a low number. I don't know, but I'd like to see the right number. I'd like us to at least aspire to it. And then most important of all, and I see this in both England and the US, somewhere along the line, we apparently decided it was impolite to ask people who wished to come to our countries, whether they liked us and aspired to be a part of our civilization.
