So where is the Secretary of Education? Today, there’s a scheduled Matatag Agenda presentation at the Senate. Guess what! The Secretary of Education was not there, neither the Undersecretary who is responsible for the curriculum. They sent someone who is not even in the room when the Secretary approved the curriculum. Lols. This is what I have been saying all along! The Vice President is taking a lot of redundant tasks but cannot be there for matters like the Matatag agenda. That major education reform meant to address the 90% learning poverty. Is she not interested? 🤦🏽‍♀️ If there is one thing in common in every assessment of the K-12 curriculum, it is the fact that it has “too many learning competencies”. And there she is adding peace education because “it’s very close to her heart”. Is she serious?! Later, DepEd cleared out that it’s not another learning competency per se but assurance that peace education is reflected in the curriculum. Senator Pimentel pointed out that just because it is close to the VP’s heart, they have to revisit the whole thing again. Lols. Don’t get me wrong, I supported the appointment of the Vice President as the DepEd Secretary. In my head her political capital and the Marcos-Duterte alliance will finally make education the priority… something we need given our 90% learning poverty. Imagine 9 out of 10 (10 years old) kids cannot read and write. Imagine that! But it seem as though the Vice President’s heart is not in education :( At least that’s how it looks like. Maybe perhaps she can request for a post she really wants instead. Education crisis needs extra time and attention. Nope, we don’t need to see her plant trees for teachers. We need her to explain the Matatag agenda, we need to see her addressing the biggest Education problem there is in PH. For the whole video:

We must make hard but necessary sacrifices, by managing the size of government, curbing wastage, and directing resources to our priorities like education.

Having the same community in a sensitive docket like Interior was the biggest blunder ever to happen to Kenya. Kenyans MUST be worried and really be concerned about the security of the country because the NIS Boss is in record to have said publicly that DANGEROUS CRIMINALS are in the country from the neighbouring countries like #Somalia #SouthSudan #Ethiopia and #Uganda. Why now and why is it happening ONLY under the current rogue regime? Why does this happen only when the CID and the NIS Bosses speak the same language and in fact the defence docket had Duale as well whom I believe still plays a role incognito under the lady in charge! Why did the President cancel the EXTRA VETTING of all entrants across the border? Are they being registered to stuff the ballots in 2027? Are we aware of the dangers of granting a criminal a nationality and to use them to legitimise a rogue regime? They will be weapons for hire who will commit crimes and cross the border to interfere with investigations. Hard times await Kenya and with an impending diplomatic row between Kenya and the US which has been playing a pivotal role in information and intelligence sharing, I guess the Country in totally headed to the valley of death. Telling the nation that there is huge infiltration of criminals in the country is deliberate and meant to inflict fear. What is ODM and Raila doing in the government if they can't even advise Ruto to kick Haji and Amin out of Office and replace them with competent Kenyans from different communities who can deal with insecurity with the deserving standards? This is very troubling statement because it comes from persons in charge of National Security. Is there disconnect between his Office and that of the the President? Who is "eating the monies meant for securing our borders"? Children aren’t born antisemitic. They aren’t born racist. They aren’t born with hate in their hearts. It’s something that’s taught. That’s learnt. There’s lots of things we need to do to stamp out antisemitism but what we do in education is a big part of it. Today we announced a number of reforms to teacher training, teacher resources and the national curriculum. We are also strengthening the powers and the penalties of the tertiary education regulator that oversees universities. To drive these reforms and recommend further actions to prevent and respond to antisemitism today we announced the establishment of the Antisemitism Education Taskforce. It will be chaired by David Gonski, a towering figure in Australia who knows the education system back to front.

The attached video features Dr. Mohamed Nur Ga’al, Speaker of the Galmudug State Parliament, speaking yesterday at a forum in Mogadishu about the Federal Government’s handling of the ongoing Galmudug parliamentary election. His candid account, which drew both applause and laughter, laid bare the extraordinary irony of the Federal Government’s unilateral approach and the subordination of Federal Member States. The so-called “direct election,” presented as a major democratic milestone for Somalia, has, in his telling, reduced an entire state leadership to the status of bystanders. Dr. Ga’al began by explaining that both Galmudug and Southwest State had effectively been excluded from the process: “We (Galmudug State) and Southwest State are in the same situation. I do not know whether the Benadir Regional Administration had any role in their election, but as for us, we have been sidelined. The Galmudug administration was told by the Federal Government that we would have no input or role in the election.” He then described the only option left to members of his administration: “We were told that if any of us wanted to run and keep our seats, we were free to compete.” He concluded with perhaps the most striking observation: “But as things stand now, our entire administration in Galmudug is effectively a guest of the Federal Government. If they give us something, we are grateful; if they deny us something, we simply surrender.” This is one of the most astonishing political admissions I have heard in years.
