Speaking ebonics is not speaking a different language. It's still speaking English just speaking it very poorly which makes you look uneducated. Telling your black kids this story so that they feel better than white kids is just setting them up for failure! You're not doing your children any favors!

A 19 yo college kid Arnav Khaire, was travelling to college. In local train, He was assaulted by some language goons for speaking in Hindi. He was so hurt by this incident that he commited suicide the very same day. The worst part, that kid was a Marathi himself. This is on you Office of Uddhav Thackeray Raj Thackeray, congratulations... This isn't a sucide but murder... Your kids are speaking whatever language they want to but a poor Marathi kid is killed simply for speaking Hindi by mistake....
