Absolutely shite race that. They have all got it wrong imo. Not sure what Moore is doing so far off it an going down that route with Isaac and Buick much the same gave Poseidon’s too much to do. Thoughts on #GNR. I did it in 2021 and loved it. This year, with the original route, not so much. 60,000 people is too many. One single point of failure (South Shields Metro) is not enough. We cannot help the rain but I hope they learn from this.

If you follow Chinese industrial news, you will know that our engineers are on average very young, not only in the expected field of AI, but also the aerospace industries. Most are in their 30s. This is what a nation with vitality looks like, we are not boxed in by boomer logic, nor foreign "talents". This is why we can have two 6th gen fighters in parallel development, while the US, Boeing specifically, is still hiding theirs behind artist renderings.

Force feedback demo Force feedback is when joystick is pushing on your hand when something is pushing on the robot arm. Feeling the force - so much helpful to control the robot, that done well it allows you to do tasks even without visual feed. You can make an experiment: close your eyes - you can easily get the headphones out of the case. Also, visual information is often not enough. For example, you're trying to pull out a usb connector, but you pull it at the wrong angle, causing it to get stuck. Visually, nothing changes, but the pressure is intense and you can break the connector. Surgical robots have been using force feedback for years, and there are also 3D styluses which use this feature, proving that the technology works and is useful. But in modern robots with AI, it's hardly ever implemented. Although it's useful for both teleoperation and AI model. That's one of the reasons why we are building our robotic arms starting with off the shelf motors rather than taking the whole off the shelf arm. There are still a range of easy wins that can be made iterating robot hardware.

E.g., I asked Sol to make a new blog for 5.6 with a celestial theme. - Much better CUA - Can work for much longer and is less lazy But it's not all great: - The writing quality has improved, but it's still bad in artifacts - Too many options with models/reasoning/fast mode/Cerebras/multi-agent We'll fix the above. What else should we improve? PS: belated post as there are so many other good models to train.

Strait of Hormuz over the last 24 hours: Oman lane is dead. Visible traffic continues to be nonexistent in the Oman lane, but the Iranians reported that 3 vessels attempted to transit with US escorts only to have one get attacked. The other 2 turned around. With the Bab al-Mandeb closure now in force by the Houthis, Fujairah enforcement is the most likely next escalation path. Despite tankers being attacked during their transits through the Oman lane, some brave shipowners and captains are still trying, which means the enforcement has to go to the root cause: Fujairah. I guess we will see where this is all going, but from an oil math standpoint, this is the endgame now. Video is from MarineTraffic

1200 followers in a single week sounds like a vanity metric until you realize we started from scratch with zero external push. we didnt use bots. we didnt do engagement farming. we just respected the intelligence of the user by giving them content that feels authentic. the combination of narrative-driven carousels and hyper-realistic video clips created with a feedback loop that the algorithm instantly fell in love with. now that we have the pulse we are preparing to syndicate this entire workflow across instagram and snapchat to create a surround sound effect where you cant open an app without seeing her face. the tools are in your hands but most of you are too afraid to use them to create actual stories.

Here is the last portion of the Steven Spielberg teaser video. I slowed down the sine-wave speech. It is not perfect, but I think it is not supposed to be. The “clicking sounds” become tones when slows down. We get the word, sort of whispered “Disclosure” as the center of the word most prominent: DisCLOSEure the ending of the word is tailed off to short letters sounds. I don’t have too much time to adjust the speed, but I think there is a sweet spot I am close to. I also am including the reverse speech version (right) as some folks assumed there was something there. I find no vocalizations.
