"If you look at a solar farm, you lay down all this steel and put up all this framing for the panels. And the 25-year pitch assumes the panel survives reality: no strong wind gusts, no major hailstorms, no early replacement, no heat-driven degradation. Solar panels are glass, metals, polymers, wiring, and chemical layers. Those components do not vanish when the subsidies ends. Net zero sells the installation. The disposal bill comes later.
