🇺🇸🐟🐻BUFFET FOR BEARS IS OPEN IN ALASKA It's the peak of the summer salmon run — hundreds of thousands of sockeye & pink salmon are migrating up Alaska’s icy rivers from the ocean to spawn Bears wait for the fish, standing in the icy rivers — they will now eat nonstop to pack on up to 4 pounds of pure fat per day 👉 Single adult brown bear at Brooks Falls can eat up to 30-40 salmon per day (100,000-120,000 calories) After the July peak, salmon numbers drop, so bears will hunt for berries. In October, the rivers freeze over, the food source disappears completely
