Chinese fans chase celebrity through Suvarnabhumi Airport, ignore every security protocol, get denied boarding for safety reasons… and still act like they did nothing wrong. On 29 July, a group of Chinese fans of a Chinese artist on Thai Airways TG674 (Bangkok–Beijing) followed the artist into a lounge they had no right to enter. Staff asked them to leave. They kept following. At document check they refused to cooperate. They tried to push onto the jet bridge with the artist. Airline staff had to temporarily close the aircraft door to stop unauthorized passengers from boarding. Thai Airways then denied boarding to all 22 of them. Reason given: they had already ignored security rules, and the airline assessed they would continue causing disruption once airborne, creating a situation that could no longer be controlled. Flight was delayed. 12 eventually agreed to offload. 10 refused, became aggressive, and a physical confrontation broke out. One security officer made an ugly eye-pulling gesture (airport has already disciplined staff and apologized for that). Official airport statement is clear: the fans violated protocols repeatedly. The denial of boarding was a safety decision. Yet the dominant reaction from many Chinese netizens remains focused on “discrimination” and “we did nothing wrong.” The rule-breaking, the non-cooperation, the chasing into restricted areas, the refusal to accept consequences — all of that gets minimized or ignored. Same pattern again. Break the rules abroad, create a scene, then claim victimhood when the local side enforces basic safety.
