I dont know why Content Fill AI for video was not available in Adobe suite. So I made it as a plugin and it’s open-source for After effects!! Super easy Installation in two click for Mac and PC, it’s using fal .ai api for the generation. Two mods are possible : - Content fill from mask using Wan 2.1 ( more precise ! ) - Content fill from prompt using Wan 2.2 ( less precise, better quality!) It’s still a prototype and it’s possible that you encounter some bug, that is why I also made it open for now. But could be cool to develop that with much more functionalities ! For automatic download of the final file it’s working good on Mac, but on Pc it will show a popup to download it manually.

Magic123: One Image to High-Quality 3D Object Generation Using Both 2D and 3D Diffusion Priors paper page: present Magic123, a two-stage coarse-to-fine approach for high-quality, textured 3D meshes generation from a single unposed image in the wild using both2D and 3D priors. In the first stage, we optimize a neural radiance field to produce a coarse geometry. Tested this concepting workflow. ▶️ Converting a level design image to a 3D asset gallery image ▶️ re-generating segmented subjects into separate high quality images. ▶️ using these images to generate the 3D meshes. First time using 'for loops' in ComfyUI, works great and the prompts are updated for every segment. I used the Nano Banana 2 API node in ComfyUI to generate the final high quality images. Those SAM3 nodes are crazy btw, just set some points and it creates a mask! For the 3D model generation I used the new Tripo Smart Mesh tool, which is fast! The output is not perfect yet. I think in a lot of cases not production ready right now but that depends on the input image and the goal as well. For pre-production / concepting phase it's perfect and for far distance meshes it’s fine. I’m sure these tools keep improving, curious what we can work with in 3-6 months. Minimal cleanup and scaling in Blender and tested the meshes in UEFN / Unreal Engine. After creating the ComfyUI workflow it took less than an hour to do everything.

Ran Fable Ultracode overnight to build out a prototype for Terrain Pro. I asked it to build out an erosion model, some procedural textures and terrain editing tools. Honestly, this looks terrible and isn't passable quality for anything except a vibe-coded game. The issue with making high quality terrain is you need a lot of high quality textures (grass, dirt, pebbles, sand) and props (trees, rocks) to go along with the underlying terrain mesh. Otherwise it's just an erosion tech demo. I'm using EZ-Tree right now to populate the trees, but EZ-Tree also isn't where it needs to be to support the vision I have in mind. I could use something like SpeedTree, but that might get pricey. If anyone knows of a good library of textures/assets with reasonable licensing terms, let me know in the comments!

Ran Fable Ultracode overnight to build out a prototype for Terrain Pro. I asked it to build out an erosion model, some procedural textures and terrain editing tools. ✨ I made a little demo of #vibejam sponsor Tripo and how you can use it to generate assets for your games In this case I'm generating an apartment flat that's half destroyed and open for my drone sim to fly around, take cover and shoot at enemies from First I write the prompt and select Nano Banana to generate an image first, I get a few different ones, and I select the one I like Then that one is converted into a 3d object called a Smart Mesh Smart Mesh is different than regular image-to-3d models because usually you get issues with uneven polygon distribution, too dense geometry and poor edge flow, so while you think you save time with generating it with AI you end up doing lots of editing after to fix the topology which kinda defeats the point Smart Mesh doesn't have any of this, it's fast and clean low-poly models you can drop into your game Anyway, after generating the model I can then see it in 3d, and if I don't like it, regenerate it, or if I like it start texturing it Once that's done, I export it as a GLB, FBX or OBJ and drop it in (usually I use GLB as ThreeJS seems to prefer that), in my case I just drop the URL into Cursor and let it figure out the placement of the asset into my game!

Some interesting Sega Dreamcast science I've been doing on the side recently... Here's a direct hardware capture of a tech demo of Bruce's aptly-named "Dreamcast Mesh Shit," featuring assets from... Uhhh... I don't even know where he jacked these from... 😂 ANYWAY, the main thing I've been working on is optimizing the skinning for the animations using my SH4ZAM fast math and linear algebra library, which can easily become one of the primary bottlenecks when running the late 6th generation games on the Dreamcast. My work has been mostly to allow the vast majority of the skinning math to occur in the SH4's XMTRX back-bank of floating-point registers, rather than having to round-trip to and from memory for every operation... Just shaved off a few hundred microseconds per mesh this way, with a lot more room to go. Once I have this stuff SOLID, I plan to bring it back to our DC port of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, where skinning was one of the major contributors to FPS dips.
