skin-tokens.cpp is out. Auto-rigging, running locally on CPU or Vulkan, from the same group that ported Kimodo to C++. Drop in a static mesh, get back a skeleton and skin weights, export a rigged GLB. Non-humanoid meshes too, the demo ships a giraffe. With Trellis2 for the mesh and Kimodo for the motion, that is a full animated-asset pipeline running locally now. All GGML builds, no Python environment to fight. Public Roads, HMWSSB hire tankers for rain effect, Private Shoots — Who Gave the Nod? This evening at T Hub in Knowledge City, a busy city road was effectively taken over by a film crew from 8.45 pm till late night. What exactly was being shot was unclear; some said an ad, others called it a “concept shoot”; but the result was unmistakable: a key stretch of road was blocked, one entire side rendered unusable. The Raidurgam traffic police later said permission had been granted only from 9 pm to 12 midnight. The shoot began earlier. That is a violation. But the larger question goes beyond timing. The traffic inspector also said that shooting permissions are being given only on weekends, and that too after 9 pm and restricted to the 9 pm–12 midnight window, preferably on holidays or when office movement is low. Even if this is the stated policy, it still does not answer the core issue: why permit road blockages at all on busy urban stretches that remain active well into the night? Why are permissions being granted for film or ad shoots on city roads? Are Hyderabad’s roads meant for the public—or have they quietly become convenient sets for private productions? At a time when even peaceful, democratic protests are denied permission citing “law and order” or “traffic inconvenience,” how does blocking a road for a private shoot—weekend or not pass muster? There was also visible use of water at the location to create a rain effect, with HMWSSB hire tanker vehicles present and the road left wet. On this, GM Krishna of the Hyderabad water utility clarified that no official request was received for booking water tankers, and no tanker was supplied officially for the shoot. He said that due to low demand, hire vehicles associated with the utility may have sourced water independently—possibly borewell water—from outside and used it at the site. Even so, he made it clear that hire vehicles linked to the water utility are not permitted to be used for film shooting purposes, irrespective of the source of water. He said the matter would be examined and action would be taken if rules were violated. That clarification narrows the issue—but it does not close it. Whether it is drinking water or borewell water, large quantities of water sprayed on public roads for private shoots raise questions—about permissions, oversight, and basic priorities. Public roads are not studios, and civic infrastructure should not be casually pressed into service for cinematic effects without clear rules and accountability. He is scared to even go out and earn his daily bread. He says, “We come from a village. We could barely study or write properly. Do you really expect us to learn Marathi overnight? At least give us proper time to learn.” He came to the city to work hard and earn two meals for his family. Not knowing a language should not mean losing the right to earn a living. Is this really about respecting a language, or are we making the poorest pay the highest price for it?

VISIBILITY AND STATIONED VEHICLES. When driving and you suddenly sight men in uniform and guns, either soldiers in Army camouflage, police, or paramilitary uniforms standing on the express in an isolated area, slow down from afar and scan the area for proper visibility. If the road is a two lane express, ensure both sides of the road where the uniform men are standing are not covered with bush. If the both sides of the road is covered with thick and over grown grass, please it is a red flag. Before soldiers, police, civil defence, immigration or customs set up checkpoints or road blocks in the middle of nowhere, they will properly clear the bushes on one side, or on both sides of the road where they intend to mount their road block. They will build makeshift shades or seats. They may build makeshift shelter and create a proper space for vehicles to park. At a certain distance, the road block will be very visible to you as a motorists. HERE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT. If you see such road blocks, please check both sides of the road if there is a stationed vehicle of the officers. For such an isolated roadblock there must be a well branded vehicle of the organisation parked by the side of the road for easy identification, confidence, and protection assurance. If the men who blocked the road are on Army camouflage, you will see a well branded Army Hilux parked by the side of the road. If they are on police uniform, you will see a well branded police vehicle parked by the side of the road. If they are on customs, immigration or civil defence uniform, you will see their branded vehicles parked by the side of the road. The vehicle is for proper identification and protection assurance. Please note: on such isolated road blocks or checkpoint, they will never use unbranded vehicles, unmarked vehicles, or private cars. If you don't see a branded vehicle of the force parked by one side of the road when you sight such road blocks from a distance, it a big red flag. If such road block is not very visible from a distance, it's also a big red flag. HOW THE OFFICERS ARE KITTED UP. Check how the uniform men on the road are dressed from up to down. If they are on a legitimate stop and search or road block, they will dress properly from head to toe. They will Put on their uniforms properly, with boots. They will put on their caps and will properly shave their beards as officers. No overgrown hair, no dreadlocks, no long beards. If you see them on pam slippers, snickers, or rubber shoe, it is a very big red flag. HOW THEIR GUNS ARE POSITIONED OR DISPLAYED. If they are on legitimate road block, or on a stop and search, they will never point their guns on oncoming vehicles. Their guns will either be hanged on their back, or seen pointing to the ground. California is working on one. You chase out five or six of the wealthiest people in the state and collect nothing. Ray Dalio keeps warning about this and he's right: When inequality gets this wide, historically you get one of two things. Wealth taxes or outright seizure. There is a tax revolution coming. The only question is whether we design it intelligently at the federal level before the pitchforks design it for us.

We witnessed the raw power of nature yesterday just south of Seward Alaska! It was incredible to watch this massive glacier calving, sending a huge wave through the water. Absolutely breathtaking to see firsthand. Glacial calving is a natural process where large chunks of ice break off from the edge of a glacier. This typically happens at the “terminus” or snout, where the glacier meets the sea, a lake, or even dry land. When these massive pieces of ice fall into the water, they become icebergs, or in smaller pieces, “growlers” or “bergy bits.” The process is primarily driven by gravity and the movement of the glacier itself. As a glacier flows—acting like a slow-moving river of ice—it experiences immense internal stress. When it reaches a point where it is no longer supported by land or where it extends out over the water, the ice becomes unstable. Cracks called crevasses form in the ice, and when these cracks penetrate deep enough, a section of the ice can no longer hold its own weight and snaps off, crashing down with incredible force. Calving is a dynamic and loud phenomenon that often triggers significant waves. It is a normal part of a glacier’s life cycle, and very common in the warmer summer months.

The Unity Cube is one of the first (if not the first) apps on the #MetaQuest Store to RUN AT 207 Hz! And it also works pretty well with the experimental 240 Hz mode! I made this update so that every one of you can try for free the crazy smoothness of the new Quest framerates by just getting a little app from the store. I had this idea while I was reading about the new framerates on Quest. I thought: hey, I would like to try 207Hz, but only a very simple app could run at 207Hz in #VirtualReality. Then I realized that actually I'm the creator of such an app: The Unity Cube, the app that is just a cube. If that doesn't go at 207 Hz, no other apps can... So I worked on porting the cube to the latest SDKs, I added hand tracking, and then I implemented the 207 Hz support for the Meta Quest 3. And the result is incredibly smooth. It is like enjoying VR on steroids. There is also a strange halo effect appearing, but the experience is still enjoyable. My deepest sympathies to the folks in Spokane who just lost everything in an instant. *As of now*, I've not seen any reports of fatalities, thank God, and I pray they were none, but a lot of beloved pets undoubtedly perished, and for many, that's like losing family. Nothing can really prepare you for this devastation, and I wish I could tell you it'll get better, but it won't for a long time. Please look after your neighbors; they have a very long and painful road ahead, and everyone will move on from caring about Spokane in a week or so. And everyone else, take heed...this is coming for you, too. Don't wait til the fire is at your patio door. Have a plan. Don't expect government to be there to save your home. And don't expect the fire to wait until you're at home and awake and ready...think about what happens when the fire comes at 2AM dead asleep, or when you're at work downtown, or 3 beers in on a river float 20 miles from home and your cats are all locked inside. You seldom get a real warning before the fire comes. Above all else, if I can offer any advice right now...lean further into God. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Have faith in His providence, even if your heart feels too broken to accept it right now.

These two young women were out for a jog, they decided to stop at their local Starbucks for a drink of water. Starbucks has a new policy that they won’t even give you a free tap water unless you buy something. The young women were outraged that they would deny them water, do you agree they did it to stop abuse or is it just greed? Quite recently I was at a fast food place and the solution they have is quite brilliant. The fountain machine has a scanner on it, the cups have barcodes. The cups barcodes are only good for about 30 minutes and the water cups when you scan it only works on water. So people can’t ask for water cups anymore and fill it with soda or anything else they didn’t pay for. I’ve seen people complain about it but let’s be real, they are only complaining because now they can’t steal the sodas they didn’t want to pay for. I’ve worked in restaurants for a good chunk of my life and I have rarely seen people actually drink water while there. That’s why I know it could just all be a scam. Even in my last post I mentioned how parents were teaching their kids to steal the sodas. Others complain that it’s the restaurant being greedy, and in some instances I’m sure that could be the case. But I know everyone that is reading this post has seen what I’m talking about. Then the same people that are stealing complain why the price of food and drinks go up to combat the loss revenue. In a perfect world where people don’t steal, it would be fine but for now I think this is where we are headed.

I'm going to do what I'm going to do whether I have that or not.” “The fact that they would not give me secret service protection for so long is troubling for our country because it's part of the weaponization of the agencies.” “The country needs to know that justice is blind that our institutions are not partisan.” RFK Jr. once again takes the high road and does not attack the Democrats even when they have now put his and his families life at risk with the removal of his secret service protection. True leaders take times that could be used for division/anger and make it into a time of unity. Need more politicians like RFK Jr. in our government on both sides of the aisle.
