Why the fuck did that assholenopen the door? The only reason he did that was because he saw him driving in the mirror and wanted to hurt him. Notice how he opened the door and also didnt even step out pr put his hand put. He threw the door open.

NO opening your Door whilst in traffic is moronic. WTF was he going to do in bump to bumper traffic boxed in? Split lanes. But remember Idiots like this guy exist. Adjust accordingly.

Splitting lanes statistically reduces traffic load. The only reason why it’s a problem is because of people like this who want to control everything. These are the same kinds of people who love HOA’s.

I used to think the same. It's not, really. Come to Asia and you'll see that it's a necessary and beneficial part of the traffic flow. If it was forbidden, traffic would incredibly bad. It allows for a huge portion of the city to ride cycles instead of cars and free up space.

Splitting lanes is perfectly fine, but I'm from California where it's legal and accepted. That van passenger attempted murder.

Opening your fucking door on someone splitting lanes could end in a life sentence also! Don't be stupid either way.

Lane splitting in the UK is legal but opening a door in standing traffic isn't.

when you're going that fast doing it in dead-stop traffic, yes that's 100% moronic.

Try to kill someone on a motorcycle is what’s moronic. To the guy in the van, fuck you.

No. Splitting lanes is mostly frowned upon by people envious of bikers driving past them in traffic jams. It's also perfectly legal in most reasonable places (in stationary traffic and at low speed).

Splitting lanes is perfectly fine. Doing it quicker than you can react is stupid.

Why would you open the door & wreck your car? Oh. To be an asshol

The van driver did this on purpose and should be charged with assault. He opened the door a moment before the biker was next to him, waited a moment, then opened it the rest of the way. Showed no surprise when the biker hit it.

Opening your car door in the middle of a traffic jam is moronic on a scale not found with the biker

Ed's profile picture

Bikes always do that cause no one randomly opens their doors in the middle of traffic

Correction: opening a door whilst stopped in traffic to seriously injure a biker is moronic.

Yep. I had a motorcycle for years. And very occasionally I would Lane split, but generally only when traffic was at a standstill such as arriving at or leaving a football game. And then I was crawling along and maybe 5 miles an hour. Motorcyclists that like to drive 40 or 50 miles an hour faster than the flow of traffic or through stopped cars at that speed are just stupid. And I have zero empathy for them when they get into an accident because of that behavior. I see videos all the time about how a car six cars ahead of where they were was supposed to anticipate them flying between lanes. No you're just being an asshole, stop it.

In slow moving traffic, it actually isn't moronic. It's safe and reduces congestion. You just don't like it because you're stuck there in a car and it feels like someone is cutting in line. You're thinking like a sheep.

Legal in a lot of states. Whats not legal is trying to kill someone by opening your door on the highway. There is only one asshole in this video.

I dated a girl for a while who sold trauma implants for Stryker. Motor cycle accidents were her number one customer. Apparently ER staff tend to call them "donor cycles".

Splitting lanes can be annoying, but it’s illegal(Depending on circumstances). The van driver is a fat asshole tho!

No its not, why does a bike have to sit in traffic? The guy who opened the door on purpose should get the death penalty. Jealous driver could have killed the guy.

Not sure what country this is, but in America, passenger dude is going to jail and the biker is getting a HUGE payout. And nothing will change. Bikers will still whiteline. The lesson here is that though it is annoying, MIND YOU OWN F#CKING BUSINESS.

Yup. Just because it’s legal doesn’t mean you should do it. I cringe everytime I see people doing it. Are a few minutes worth something like this happening? Life is good relax and take your time!
