My babies all calmed instantly when I held them. My son needed to be taken to the side before I could hold him and he calmed when his dad touched his head. A baby knows who their parents are

A mother and her newborn are part of each other. The bond & connection is visceral. It’s dynamic. That man lies there as though he has a lump of lard on his chest. It’s a terrible, primeval cruelty to do this.

As someone who never was bonded to my birth mother....there is a HUGE difference. Babies know who their mothers are.

A baby knows who his mother is. He recognizes her voice from the womb. Sperm donation doesn’t define him – the bond with his mother does. Taking him from her and handing him to someone else isn’t compassion. It’s ignoring the most basic human truth.

Fact: immediately after delivery when baby is placed on mothers chest HER body is able to sense if the baby is too cold or too hot. HER BODY will physiology change within matter of minutes by bringing heat to her chest or cooling her chest depending on what the baby needs.
