There is only a man on a stone with his hands clenched together, having plainly sat there all night. Look at the feet. They are bare on the sharp rocks, and they are bleeding. He has walked a long way in the dark and has not slept, worn down by a decision only he can make... Kramskoi was clear about what he had painted. For him, he wrote, this was the image of a man with the highest sense of duty, caught in the moment he must choose. Tolstoy, who understood a great deal about the weight of a conscience, told the gallery's owner it was the best Christ he knew. Everyone comes, sooner or later, to some version of that stone: a morning when the right thing and the easy thing point in opposite directions, and no one else can make the choice for you. He briefly realizes this is disgusting and tries to claim it was “sarcastic.” Then he reaffirms it wasn’t a joke. These are classic symptoms of frontotemporal dementia: disinhibition, inappropriate behaviors in public settings, disordered thoughts, lowered salience (what matters), lack of judgement. Read this. I think it's fair to say that Nigel Farage's return to the media round yesterday morning was an unmitigated catastrophe. When he began his defence to Sally Nugent on the BBC, he repeated his mantra “no one cares” to her three times. He could not have been further from the truth. With the exception of Ed Balls on ITV, the UK's interviewers finally found their backbones and took him to task over the five million pound bung/gift/donation. Immediately taking the über-defensive stance, he made so many different claims, that even Julia Hartley-Brewer and Nick Ferrari got in on the anti-Farage action. I assume there is a Grimm fairy tale that highlights the plight of a little boy that changes his story so many times that he can't remember his own truth. Probably in that tale, he'll be eaten by a witch living in a giant flying bowl of some sort — and no, this is not an allegorical allusion to Hartley-Brewer, before you @ me! Farage is that little boy. Talking to Sally Nugent, he told her that the money was an unconditional gift and it was none of her business what he spent it on, before saying he'd not spent it. Going on, he told us that he needed it for a lifetime of security while on Nick Ferrari's show, he got so muddled up that he said it was definitely not used for a house purchase but ... maybe, and even if it were, he'd not tell anyone. Oh, and he said he might have put it on the horses or bought some Ferraris. The root of his story began when he told the world that it was an unconditional gift, but within days the official line had changed to a donation to cover a 'lifetime of security'. I'm not surprised at all and I understand perfectly why Taehyung said he was very happy during his time in America. thank you Jung Wooyoung… i saw this edit on tiktok and... i'm grateful that something pushed me to discover Ateez a year ago. sometimes i'm mad at myself for being so late with that. but still – better late than never… i never would have thought someone would come into my heart again, like bands/musicians did when i was a teenager. because how could that be possible? i'm already in my twenties, how could i ever love someone like that again? however, things turned out differently than i expected... from the moment my sister showed me Ateez, i said something like "i think Wooyoung is the coolest..." or "i like Wooyoung the most" and so it just stayed that way i didn't think that my stubborn mind and heart would be able to have a new idol – an idol who is from a completely different world than what i was used to… maybe this world has been with me for some time, and one person has been showing me all this time what i was missing, but entering it last year, when life was terribly fucked up… changed my thinking a bit (life maybe too) i love to love Wooyoung thank you Wooyoung for existing… for saving what was left of my life last year i know these are big words and maybe even a bit tacky... but that's how i feel Wooyoung seemed to show me that there was something more beyond the edge i saw. his voice, his words, his smile, his laugh, and the way his eyes sparkle… he somehow brings me back down to earth. he adds something to my life that's missing – maybe that's why i'm still here so i'll be grateful for that, no matter how it sounds. cheesy or tacky or weird- because maybe half the world knows this flower... but only this flower showed that all petals are beautiful //sorry for that rant…
