Hey Chi Ossé – the reason your bill hasn’t moved is because you are focused on doing what gets you attention, rather than doing basic legislative work that can move the bill. You refuse to engage with relevant stakeholders; and skip public safety hearings where you could question the commissioner directly and get conversations moving. Your attendance record says everything we need to know: you literally have the *worst* attendance record of all 51 Councilmembers this session; and when you attend Stateds via Zoom, you leave as soon as you possibly could. (See video!) It’s unfortunate that you are more interested in doing the performative stuff for social media attention, rather than doing the difficult work to resolve this important issue. P.S. Here is the guy and the two ladies stopping traffic in the middle of the street. You can hear him yelling at the person in the white SUV. You can see the border patrol agents parked across the street in front of the place where they were going to arrest the criminal illegal alien and coming out of their cars. You can then see the two women go right towards the agent who was by his car and stand in front of him obstructing an active operation. It can't be seen in this video but we know from other videos that the guy went across the street to the area where the agents were. The two women and the guy all inserted themselves in an active operation. This is dangerous for officers and for the public. These officers have only a few minutes to get in there, execute the warrant, arrest the illegal alien (who may be armed since he is a criminal) and pull him out into their car. These people are going after these officers with loud whistles, blocking traffic, confronting them. The people out there applauding this behavior, saying that it is citizens' right to do that, or instigating it are putting civilians in danger.

$Gm. Thank you to those who asked after OXBER FLYER. Feels surreal to say, but sadly we lost her this morning. She got loose at Chester before her first race yesterday and suffered a catastrophic skull fracture. Both the stall handling team and the vets at Chester were brilliant in helping her feel comfortable straight away, as well as the staff at Newmarket Equine Hospital who watched over her all night. Her injury was such that she couldn’t eat or drink and the right thing to do was put her to sleep. An easy decision, which was 100% best for her, but a heartbreaking one as I bred her myself. I was the first human she saw. From Jim Crowley telling me to go to MOHAATHER, taking the mare to Shadwell, to foaling her down myself at home, I was with her every step of the way until she went off to become a racehorse. And she would have been a racehorse. We expected a good run yesterday, the first of a couple we targeted for the back end of the season. She worked with the older horses at home and showed Charlie Clover enough for him to get us all excited. Sad we’ll never get to see what she was capable of. A massive thank you to everyone who helped yesterday, especially the Chester stall handlers. In a horrible situation, everyone involved did everything they possibly could for her. Although we’re reeling, the show goes on and the newsletter will follow. JT x$

Some glaring mistakes our defense (secondary) had in week 1 Ole Miss vs Louisville that kept the game close: 1. Anthony Robinson is completely lost, has no idea where the ball is and sinks towards the middle with the ball carrier 5 yards to his right on the sideline 2. Ball carrier is 5 yards past the LOS and Edwin Joseph is still sinking back into coverage allowing a massive run up the middle 3. Edwin Joseph has no clue what he is doing and just stands there, MJ Preston bites down hard on the play action and lets the WR run right past him 4. 1st and 10, Louisville down by 7 with no timeouts with under 2 minutes left. More instances of girls literally strategizing for how to finally get men to approach them. These two are so excited to have discovered that by sitting at the bar they can get a guy to approach! That said, it’s not really a completely new thing, guys bypassing women who want to meet guys because they just are not aware of it. I spent my first year hitting nightlife hard two decades ago approaching every girl I could (including ones I thought it would not work with) to test my assumptions and biases. Some things I discovered my first year: ➡️ Girls who are with guys rarely/never get approached. A lot of the times the guys they’re with are nice guy friends or gay best friends and you’re the only actual suitor to approach the whole night. ➡️ Girls in groups of 3+ people only get a few approaches max, and generally only from high energy “Sooooo what are we all up to tonight laaaaaadies???” player types who fail to connect. Most of these girls get 0 sincere approaches unless they split off from the group at some point. ➡️ Girls who aren’t in sync with the venue energy (e.g., introvert girls; girls who got a late start and are sober and not in social mode; etc.) are easy pickings if you know how to calibrate, because most guys can’t or are too drunk to. All these girls are “hidden opportunities” if you even halfway know what you’re doing in nightlife.

Another great example of everyday Chinese efficiency we just experienced. We got the RV stuck (again, see quoted post below 👇) but this time it's completely not our fault: at the end of a one-way road a height restriction barrier had collapsed. It was meant to block trucks over 3m in height but, due to it collapsing, it was standing at maybe 2m50 and our RV is 2m80 so 🤷‍♂️ And since it was a one way road we couldn't turn around and drive against traffic: forbidden and too dangerous. So we called the police. They arrived in exactly 3 minutes which they told us is actually their official KPI for time to intervention. I repeat: the official KPI for the police here in China is that when someone calls, they need to be on-site within a maximum of 3 minutes 🤯 They did two things: first, they immediately called the local village chief, which in the Chinese system is the person accountable to get the height restriction barrier fixed. The guy arrived in less than 2 minutes! Second, they escorted us to drive back on our one-way road, so we could pass by the bike lane on the side which was large enough for our RV and wasn't affected by the barrier (see 3rd video). To summarize: in the space of a mere 5 minutes after calling them, the police had arrived, the guy in charge of fixing the barrier was on-site, and we were safely escorted back on the road. Problem identified, accountability assigned, solution executed. Five minutes.

Another great example of everyday Chinese efficiency we just experienced. We got the RV stuck (again, see quoted post below 👇) but this time it's completely not our fault: at the end of a one-way road a height restriction barrier had collapsed. It was meant to block trucks over 3m in height but, due to it collapsing, it was standing at maybe 2m50 and our RV is 2m80 so 🤷‍♂️ And since it was a one way road we couldn't turn around and drive against traffic: forbidden and too dangerous. So we called the police. They arrived in exactly 3 minutes which they told us is actually their official KPI for time to intervention.
