Aidan O'Connell gets sacked on his final play last night and in my opinion the sack is on the #Raiders QB just as much as it is on LT Andrus Peat. AOC has a 3 step drop which means the play is designed for him to get the ball out quick. If you don't get the ball out then a QB is going to need to Create something. But what you don't want him to do is back pedal into a sack. Peat does lose the rep, but he does a good job recovering and pushing the DE up the field. I think AOC's ability to feel pressure, get away from it, and throw on the run were some things I saw from him last year where he struggled with. So I do hope next week he shows a little bit more in that. Overall the play didn't work because Luke Getsy designed a really poor play where the spacing is off, I will talk about this more on my Youtube channel later today but you can clearly see that Bowers was supposed to be a natural pick for Tre Tucker at the bottom of the screen. But the spacing didn't work and the WR and TE run into each other.

Middle infielders: I’m a believer in taking the throw from in-front of the bag on a stolen-base attempt. The main reason why: Catchers aren’t always going to put the ball on the bag. A common miss is arm side, causing the throw to tail towards first base. When you're in-front, you have freedom to move toward a bad throw without the runner sliding underneath or into you. You can catch it, make the tag, and potentially keep a bad throw from getting into center field. If you straddle the bag, your range can become limited once the runner starts sliding in. In order to do this, you must LET THE BALL TRAVEL Don't reach out, catch it early, and then bring your glove back to the runner. You're wasting valuable time. Let the ball travel over the bag and make a quick tag. If he's out → quick tag If he's safe → tag and HOLD IT. Give him a chance to come off the bag. Some glaring mistakes our defense (secondary) had in week 1 Ole Miss vs Louisville that kept the game close: 1. Anthony Robinson is completely lost, has no idea where the ball is and sinks towards the middle with the ball carrier 5 yards to his right on the sideline 2. Ball carrier is 5 yards past the LOS and Edwin Joseph is still sinking back into coverage allowing a massive run up the middle 3. Edwin Joseph has no clue what he is doing and just stands there, MJ Preston bites down hard on the play action and lets the WR run right past him 4. 1st and 10, Louisville down by 7 with no timeouts with under 2 minutes left. If order to hit a big league fastball your brain needs to decide to pull the trigger roughly 25 feet from the ball reaching the plate…. In order to do that, your eyes must be oriented at a spot 25 feet to your left for a righty or 25 feet to your right if you are a lefty…. This begs the question what is the point of hitting off of a tee?…The body will never work the same vs a live ball…. Look how different Mike Trout looks when hitting off of a tee vs hitting a live ball…Watch his left arm and left shoulder do completely different things. The right forearm supinates vs an overhand pitch but it pronates vs the tee…. It’s a function of where the biceps inserts onto the radius. There isn’t a hitter on earth that will use the same swing mechanics off of a tee as they will vs an overhand pitch.

This dog Decoy was out on the pitcher’s mound for the first pitch when Shohei Ohtani set him down and the little guy snatched the baseball right in his mouth and took off running full speed across the dirt with his tail wagging like crazy. Ohtani crouched down laughing the whole time as Decoy came charging back all excited for some pets and a quick high-five right there in front of the crowd. Would you let your dog pull a stunt like that at a big league game or keep him on the couch where it’s safe?

I don’t think the media understands that we don’t give a fuck if Shedeur Sanders throws two interceptions Sunday or holds on to the ball for too long. We just want to see HIM PLAY and his o-line to give him time in the pocket! Riding with him to the wheels fall off and IF he succeeds DESPITE clear QB development and coaching failures then we will be happy. If he has a bad game we gonna say LET HIS ASS START SOME MORE JUST LIKE YOU DID DILLON GABRIEL! He needs MORE THAN A WEEKS WORTH OF REPS!

I have not seen enough about the decision from Mike Vrabel and Tim Kelly to go for 2 down by 8 last night. Here’s why I loved it: 1) NFL teams this season have been successful on 55% of two-point conversion attempts. The odds were in the Titans’ favor. 2) Will Levis was dealing in the 2nd half. 3) Titans still had all three timeouts and the two-minute warning. 4) Miami struggled to move the ball on offense all night. Their three scoring drives went for 12, 7, and 59 yards. 5) If successful on the two-point conversion, a stop on defense and a TD wins the game. If unsuccessful, you can still send it to OT. 6) Titans offense marched down the field, scored the TD to make it a one possession game and essentially told Miami, “we are going for two because we know you cannot stop us right now.” The odds are in your favor. It’s a good mathematical decision. You want to psych out an opposing offense? Give them the ball knowing they need to run the clock out, or you are going to have a chance to WIN the game, not send it to overtime. They saw what your offense just did to their defense. They saw your QB on the sideline screaming and hyping everyone up. Cutting the lead to six put WAY more pressure on the Dolphins offense. You want to hype up your defense? Put them back on the field knowing your offense just did their job. Put them back on the field knowing a stop and a TD wins it. At that point, they aren’t in the mindset of “we need a stop to have a chance to go to OT.” They are thinking, “let’s go out here, get a stop, and give our offense a chance to WIN.” There’s a fundamental difference in playing to WIN and playing NOT to LOSE. This was a decision by a coaching staff that was playing to WIN. Brilliant game by Vrabel and Kelly. Brilliant execution late in the game by the offense and the defense. Completely out-coached one of the best offensive minds in the game. #Titans

When you slow plays down to 1/100th the speed, it distorts what actually happened and makes it look like, in this case, Cooks possessed the ball for seconds prior to losing it. The game is not played in slow motion or frame by frame. For a catch: A) Secure control of the ball ✅ B) Two feet down in bounds ✅ C) After (a) and (b) have been fulfilled, clearly performs any act common to the game (e.g., extend the ball forward, take an additional step, tuck the ball away and turn upfield, or avoid or ward off an opponent), or he maintains control of the ball long enough to do so. C is where there is a judgement needed since A and B are clearly met. Now consider this note to the rule: If a player, who satisfied (a) and (b), but has not satisfied (c), contacts the ground and loses control of the ball, it is an incomplete pass if the ball hits the ground before he regains control, or if he regains control out of bounds. Because Cooks did lose control of the ball when he contacted the ground and the ball never contacted the ground, it was ruled an interception by Denver.

It's interesting that while many #Browns fans are irate about the reverse play call that resulted in a fumble, no one is complaining about the back-to-back trick plays Kevin Stefanski called earlier in the game. That's because the T-formation play for the touchdown worked, and the RB snap reverse toss to the QB almost worked (the pass was dropped). But when two players failed to execute a toss on a simple reverse, Stefanski was once again the worst play caller ever. Also, earlier in the game, Harrison Bryant took the snap on 3rd and 1 and got the first down. But it was called back on a false start. Then, on 4th and inches, Bryant took the snap and fumbled. We've been running QB sneak plays with Bryant all season, and yet failed player execution cost us a turnover. We promise the Browns don't practice fumbling snaps or botching simple tosses or dropping passes in their hands. Skill players should be able to execute plays that require simple skills. Right? Whether you like Stefanski's play calls or not, we just ask Browns fans to be consistent. Did you like the RB reverse toss to the QB when it worked? Should Kevin give up play calling even though his trick plays scored a touchdown and (almost) 2-point conversion? #DawgPound

It's interesting that while many #Browns fans are irate about the reverse play call that resulted in a fumble, no one is complaining about the back-to-back trick plays Kevin Stefanski called earlier in the game. That's because the T-formation play for the touchdown worked, and the RB snap reverse toss to the QB almost worked (the pass was dropped). But when two players failed to execute a toss on a simple reverse, Stefanski was once again the worst play caller ever. Also, earlier in the game, Harrison Bryant took the snap on 3rd and 1 and got the first down. But it was called back on a false start. Then, on 4th and inches, Bryant took the snap and fumbled. We've been running QB sneak plays with Bryant all season, and yet failed player execution cost us a turnover. We promise the Browns don't practice fumbling snaps or botching simple tosses or dropping passes in their hands. Skill players should be able to execute plays that require simple skills. Right? Whether you like Stefanski's play calls or not, we just ask Browns fans to be consistent. Did you like the RB reverse toss to the QB when it worked? If you don't HAVE to go anywhere today, it would be a good idea to stay off the roads. While there has not been a lot of accumulation, there has been a lot of drifting snow building up on some sections of most roads. OPP officers have responded to nearly a dozen collisions across eastern Ontario since 5am. Thankfully most have been minor, with vehicles landing in a ditch. No serious injuries have been reported. If you must be on the roads, slow down, leave extra following distance, keep headlights TURNED on and keep your eyes on the road ahead. Never pass a working snow plow. They are working to make the road safer for you. The snow is expected to continue all day, meaning things will not be getting better. Was This a Stonewall Penalty? Breaking Down Khusanov’s Challenge on João Pedro The Positioning: Joao Pedro is in full control of the ball, driving into the Manchester City penalty box. Rather than trailing behind, Khusanov has actually recovered enough ground to get alongside and slightly ahead of Joao Pedro. Khusanov is cutting across Pedro's running path to get his body between the attacker and the ball. The Contact: In this exact moment, Khusanov is not pushing Joao Pedro in the back. Instead, Khusanov is leaning his body weight leftwards into Joao Pedro to shield the ball. It is actually Joao Pedro who has his left arm extended with his hand resting on Khusanov's back/shoulder area as they battle for position. In football, a defender is allowed to step across an attacker and use their body to shield the ball once they have established position, provided it is within playing distance of the ball. Since Khusanov is using his body to block the run and it's shoulder-to-shoulder (with Pedro's hand on him), this changes the dynamic completely from a "push." Looking at this specific angle, it looks much more like a standard physical battle where the defender successfully "boxes out" the attacker. Because Khusanov uses his body positioning legally to ease Pedro off the ball rather than illegally shoving him from behind, the referee’s decision not to award a penalty is the correct one.

Strong hip flexors keep your knee drive holding up when the late-race fatigue sets in. The kettlebell hip flexor march is a running-specific way to train them. Single leg, upright, knee driving up with load.
