After bitterly cold temperatures of –25°C, a sudden warm spell in Transcarpathia, western Ukraine, has triggered significant ice drift on local rivers. The most intense movement is on the Borzhava River near Dovhe in Khust district, where shifting ice floes are raising concerns about ice jams, flooding, and potential damage to riverside infrastructure.
