Etherealize CEO Vivek Raman: Wall Street's understanding of ETH as "productive money" is starting to accelerate "BlackRock just launched their ETHB ETF for staked ETH, and in the marketing around that, they said ETH is an asset that actually generates yield. You're not just holding a digital asset store of value anymore. You're holding a digital asset store of value that has yield, and that starts to resemble how Wall Street thinks about US Treasuries." "[Wall Street] wants minimized counterparty risk, perfect collateral, and yield -- ETH packages that all together. Bitcoin was the original idea and is now understood as 'digital gold.' We grew 20% over the last month alone. So, we certainly don't see stablecoins slowing down." "Stablecoin transaction volume is growing enormously. We see that the number of folks building with stablecoins is growing enormously." "We have folks from a bunch of banks who are leaning into stablecoins. Goldman Sachs CEO and former U.S. Treasury Secretary: Stablecoins will be “enormous” “You can use stablecoins to very effectively — particularly in small transactions; big transactions you use FedWire — to go from US dollar stablecoins to euros or yen or other things. I think it is enormous, and I think the stablecoin legislation is a big step in the right direction,” says former U.S. Secretary Treasury Steven Mnuchin. Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon agrees: “Higher speed, less friction.” Both also agree that stablecoins are not a threat to the U.S. dollar, and will in fact strengthen it. Mnuchin explains: “If you have stablecoins that are backed by U.S. Treasuries, I don’t think the U.S. needs to issue its own stablecoin.
