It's very strange that there were demos of Omega Boost going back to 1995, and it finally came out in 1999!

What’s strange is that Omega Boost had to die for Gran Turismo to receive a gazillion sequels. On a serious note, the sheer existence of Omega Boost is a miracle.

@memory_fallen Omega boost was a test to find out something FOR the upcoming gran turismo: namely how to set up an engine to make 30 FPS as fluid as possible. In that regard i think it was a huge success, given all the youtube videos claiming its 60. I love this game and still play it sometimes

@SF_1232 DUDE! I fucking played the demo when I was a kid on ps1 underground demo! I thought it was gundam back then. Wish it came to Steam so I can play the game, but its a lost media.

@SF_1232 I think that’s how most people got to know about it, through that demo. The demo scene for PS1 was so amazing back then. We should bring Demo culture back.

If Star Fox is a 3D shmup, Omega Boost is like a 3D Rayforce, or if you want to see it differently, a sort of on rail mech game.

You should, both are great, both have a lot of the Panzer Dragoon DNA in them in one way or another. Omega Boost is the more interesting one IMO.
