Star Trek: Deep Space Nine started 32 years ago today with "Emissary". This is still my favorite Trek series.

The descision to clash Sisko against the immensly popular Picard in a serious, seemingly unresolvable conflict, made for one of the most intriguing start of the new chapter in the franchise. I remember it being nothing short of shoking at the time.

Yes, best of all Trek series. TNG gave us a perspective of the Federation almost entirely from Picard and the crew's perspective. DS9 flipped that to an ensemble of mostly non-humans, looking at the Federation from the outside. Some of the best Trek writing ever to this day.

I watched it much later and I loved it. It was much more mature, with holodecks being used for adult entertainment and the Ferengi were awesome

Same. It got off to a slow start with a lot of character episodes but once they ran into the Jem'Hadar that DS9 train really picked up soeed

When DS9 really got into its groove, it was easily the best Star Trek we ever got.

I love DS9 So well acted, so many excellent developed characters, excellent developing storyline that culminated into an excellent finish. Rick Berman and Michael Piller are absolutely brilliant for dreaming this up.

I ADORE #DS9. Sisko doesn't joke around 😎I wish they could bring him back in a live series.
