If there are historians in the future, they’ll look back at Starship and say it was one of the most profound things that ever happened. -Elon Musk.

.Shaun Maguire: When we invested in SpaceX, no one thought Starlink would work. "No one outside of SpaceX and a few investors were doing the systems level analysis." "If you actually ran through the system and asked what the bottlenecks were, you could figure out that it was on the verge of working." "Some of the things Elon Musk works on—there's systems level questions, and you need four or five things to all be coming together at the same time." "Most people are either too lazy to do the one month of work or don't have the ability to do it, and therefore they look at a lot of the things Elon is doing through the lens of the past rather than the present." "Elon has proven that he's probably the best person in the world at understanding when multiple breakthroughs are coming together at once and you can apply them in a new way."

🇺🇸 They’re teaching a tower to catch a spaceship. Ship 42 spent the day at Pad 2 locked in the chopsticks, running the exact grab they’d need after Flight 15. Lift, shift, line it upm repeat. SpaceX already snagged Super Heavy out of the sky, now they want the upper stage too; the one that goes to space, comes back hotter, and has almost no margin if the arms miss. If this works, Starship doesn’t land... It gets caught. SpaceX / Writer: Val

Elon Musk on Starship: "If there are historians in the future, they will look back at Starship and say it was one of the most profound things that ever happened. The degree to which a Starship is a revolutionary technology is not well understood in the world. It's the first time that there's been any rocket design where full and rapid reusability is possible. This is the first design where success is in the set of possible outcomes. There were a lot of performance improvements for v3 so it made sense to go to v3, there's like 10,000 different changes between v2 and v3. There just aren't very many things that are in the top 10 of the evolution of life. So if there were to be a catastrophe on one of the planets, the other planet would survive and no AI was used to create it."

Elon Musk on Starship “This is the largest flying object ever made. So, to catch it with giant robot arms and pluck it out of the sky is pretty insane, but I think it's got a decent chance of working. It might take a few kicks at the can before it works. But we're not breaking physics, so success is one of the possible outcomes here.”

RFK Jr: I'm around a lot of young girls all the time, and they all seem, like, really crazy at that part of their lives. Most of them just get through it and figure it out. But if you put them on a regimen of psychiatric drugs at that age, they may not go through the things they need to go through

“You take a a Rolex Daytona today, and you look back at the first one in 1963. To me, the one in 1963 is better aesthetically. Because its the purest form of the concept. The purest form of the idea. Everything else from there has been layered on because they need to sell more and they need to come up with a new version and new model. This is what happens. They couldn't still sell that first version. That's not the way the world works. You have to keep making new stuff. The pure idea, the pure form of the thing [is best]”

JUST IN: New footage of Elon Musk in SpaceX Starbase, Louisiana introducing video. Elon Musk "If you want to go out there and make life multiplanetary, and not just be a tourist—send a few people and come back—and if you want to go there and actually build a self-growing civilization, you need serious tonnage. We are going to bring, I think, probably north of 10,000 really exciting jobs to Louisiana. They are the kind of jobs that are so exciting, you cannot wait to go to work in the morning. It is super inspiring, and we believe in having a really fun work environment. It is hard to beat rockets, frankly. I think it has been incredibly exciting for the people of Louisiana. We will make it so the public can come and see, like they do at Cape Canaveral. People will go see Disney World, but then they will go over to Cape Canaveral to watch the rocket launch."

At about T-8 hours before Starship Flight 13’s third attempt to launch, what are the conditions out at the launch site? What does the weather look like? And, what is it like to be at the launch site and Starbase about 8 or so hours from a launch? Today I talk about all of this and provide some updates (narration & visuals) on the construction around the launch site too & why much of this is necessary. Oh, and a reminder too. If you have ever thought about coming out to Starbase and experience something you can literally not do anywhere else in the world (being at an active rocket launch site with a fully stacked rocket just hours before a launch all up close), then you need to plan on doing so sooner than later. These opportunities may not last forever, and indeed some restrictions continue to be added over time. Good luck to SpaceX and the Starship team … I hope Friday with the 13th launch is lucky indeed! 🚀🍀🤞 Ellie in Space 🚀💫

Martin Lewis, founder of MoneySavingExpert. com, on the four things it takes to be really successful, and why the most important one isn't what you'd expect: He opens with a clear framework: "It takes four things to be really successful. Talent, you've all got it, as do many more people than you think. Hard work. If you want to be really successful, you're going to have to work hard. Focus. Zone in on what you're good at." On focus, he pushes back against the idea that you need to be exceptional at everything: "Understand, none of us are unfailingly brilliant at everything. So, find the thing that you're good at and zone in on that. And that is what will create your success." But the fourth factor is where his message turns unexpected: "The most important thing is luck. You can do everything right, but it still not work for you. And you need to know that now." This reframes how he wants people to think about setbacks: "Failing does not make you a failure. Do not judge yourself. See it as a way to learn and to give yourself a better opportunity the next time." Martin Lewis then challenges a common assumption about what success actually delivers: "Success can be stressful. Success is not a synonym for happiness. As you go through your working careers, at sometimes you may want to make a call. Do I continue to push that hard or do I smile at what I've got and enjoy happiness and the other things that life starts to give me?" He closes with a message aimed at those who do make it big: "One or two of you in here will make it really big. If that's you, remember of those four things, the most important one is luck. And that means if you're that super successful one in the room, you have a moral duty to give back."

One of the most underrated things about Starship isn't just that it's bigger It's that it's designed to completely rewrite the economics of spaceflight SpaceX, Falcon's reusability already removed roughly 85% of the historic cost of launching to orbit Starship aims to deliver another order-of-magnitude improvement on top of that And it's not just about cost.....It's also about throughput Falcon Heavy can deliver up to 64 metric tons to orbit Starship Version 3 is targeting roughly 100 metric tons to orbit Future versions could potentially push that to around 200 metric tons The philosophy behind all of this comes from the Elon's "The Algorithm": 1. Question the requirements 2. Delete parts and process steps 3. Simplify 4. Accelerate 5. Automate You can see this philosophy perfectly in the evolution of the Raptor engine What began as a complex engine evolved into Raptor 3 dramatically simplified, more powerful, more reliable, and easier to manufacture This is how SpaceX keeps pulling ahead Not by adding complexity......By relentlessly removing it
