Kids in Lower Merion school district in Pennsylvania get iPads starting in kindergarten, switch to Chromebooks in second grade and get their own MacBooks in eighth grade. Hundreds of parents signed a petition asking to preserve their ability to opt their children out of using digital devices during the school day. The school district has pushed back, saying it’s not feasible to let hundreds of students opt out of technology that is essential to the curriculum.

Ontario's schools need more adults. We need more EAs and more educators in our schools to keep students safe and help them learn. Children in Grade 6 were in Kindergarten when the Ford government took office. EQAO scores are on their watch, and this government is failing our kids. That is why Ontario-Liberals are calling on the Ford government to invest $1 billion in new education funding so boards can hire the staff students rely on every day. Students should not have to pay the price for underfunding. It is time to give them the support they deserve.

With the immense dedication of the unsung heroes, i.e, parents and teachers, and the policies implemented by the Ministry of Education and relevant regional line bureaus, the quality of education is showing signs of improvement in the last couple of years. It will take years to reap the full fruits of recent policy changes, but parents proudly talking about the achievements of their children in exams, and the increased competition among students to perform well is a new phenomena in Somali Region. Curbing of exam cheating and changes made in the medium of instruction in Somali Region — now to be in English for all subjects from Grade 5, will significantly improve students’ chances at the national school leaving exams which are given in English.

Students' scholarships reach the students very late... Today, scholarships have been credited to the accounts of 6,080 students. We will gradually connect everyone to this so that our students can receive their scholarships on time every month. Our students should be able to fulfill the needs required for pursuing education. This is a major change."

'Sally' will have a Western New York accent and will teach 11th and 12th-grade students at Salamanca High School. Sally costs less than the average teacher's salary in New York, with a price tag of $57,000. The robot has brown hair, and can move its arms and legs, but will not be able to walk around the classroom. Students will be able to log in so the humanoid can recognize students and their previous interactions. The humanoid will be helping teach coding, robotics, and AI classes. The school district promises that robots will "never" replace human teachers. ‘Sally’ is made by Realbotix, which also produces "companion" robots. What are we doing here?

University of Chicago is attempting to stop students from relying on artificial intelligence “As part of a broader strategy to curb AI usage, the University of Chicago Law School is banning first-year students from using phones and laptops in the classroom. The school says it's to, quote, ensure students actually learn to think critically, strategically, and independently without relying on AI, end quote” More on this policy: Classroom ban is a pilot for 2026–2027. Since I assumed the position of Minister of Education, I have received numerous messages and letters from Part-time ND and HND students and those who have transitioned to full-time courses about their exemption from National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). As I told the students at Yaba Tech today, the Federal Ministry of Education and our agencies stand with you. The Presidency stands with you as well. You should not be exempted from participating in NYSC. I will be meeting with the Director-General of the NYSC in March to discuss this matter further. A solution is on the way.
