Dr. Robert Kaplan from Stanford. Some real eminence of integrity published this reanalysis, and what they found was this. In the trials that led to the approval of regulators worldwide, you were more likely to suffer a severe adverse event from taking the vaccine, hospitalization, disability, or life-changing event than you were to be hospitalized with COVID. This mRNA vaccine should likely have never been approved for a single human in the first place, and that rate of serious adverse events is at least 1 in 800... 1 in 800 is a very, very high figure. We've pulled other vaccines for much less. The 1976 Swine Flu vaccine was pulled because it was found to cause a debilitating neurological condition called Guillan-Barre syndrome in about 1 in 100,000 people. I’m typically skeptical about Nigerian regulators, but on this one, they may be up to something. Millions of Nigerians are borrowing and repaying airtime loans and have no formal credit history because the telcos are refusing to share that data with the credit bureau. That calls to question what these big telcos are doing with that data and more importantly, the missed opportunities in terms of the quality of policy formulation and product design from financial institutions that could have been achieved if such data was available. Another important point is that why is it too hard for these telcos, especially MTN and Airtel, to partner with at least one local fintech?

Millions of Nigerians are borrowing and repaying airtime loans and have no formal credit history because the telcos are refusing to share that data with the credit bureau. That calls to question what these big telcos are doing with that data and more importantly, the missed opportunities in terms of the quality of policy formulation and product design from financial institutions that could have been achieved if such data was available. Another important point is that why is it too hard for these telcos, especially MTN and Airtel, to partner with at least one local fintech?

Twitch founder Emmett Shear on how to resolve product roadmap disagreements Emmett argues that disagreement on what to build is actually quite rare after everyone has talked to users and looked at the data. Most disagreements in startups arise because people like to come up with product ideas without talking to users first: “You talk to your users first, and then you have ideas about your product. Almost everyone does it in the opposite order” He continues: “If you find yourself thinking: ‘I’m going to go talk to my users to validate my product idea’, you’ve gone horribly off the rails…If you haven’t talked to users and you haven’t looked at data, you don’t get to have an opinion about the product. The person who has actually done the work gets to have the opinion. You can have ideas, but they get to make the call.” In the rare case where both people have really talked to users and looked at the data and still disagree on what to build, it’s best to just have someone who is in charge (e.g. CEO).
