Shuler: If you think about every industrial revolution we’ve been through, working people have helped us make that transition. It’s really because we’ve helped tame the technology and figured out how to use it in the most effective way. So I think your question about augmentation versus replacement is the big question we have. If we can all agree that this is about making our jobs better, safer, easier, and more productive, then we’re all in. But if you’re looking to de-skill, dehumanize, and replace workers, to put people out on the street with no path forward, then absolutely you’re going to have a revolution. So I think that’s something we all need to be very real about and think seriously about. If we’re going to have productivity gains, working people—the ones who make these industries happen—need to share in that. There hasn’t been a lot of discussion about that here. Of course, in terms of how we create policies, how we create tax infrastructure, whether or not we are redistributing—yes, that word is a dirty word around here—we need to talk about it and confront how we’re going to make sure working people share in the gains of these technologies. And if you look at the numbers of jobs, let’s talk about job quality. Yes, maybe there are a lot of jobs created, but what kind of jobs are we talking about? Are they jobs that can sustain a family? Is it a job where people can actually work one job? One job should be enough.

It’s about making sure victims have justice and accountability, and that this doesn’t happen anymore. You know, I actually worked here when I was younger as a graduate student fellow. We should never allow any of that when it comes to the staff or anywhere else. People should feel safe here at the Capitol. Again, this is somewhere where I think we need to make sure we’re showing accountability. I’m going to do everything I can on the Democratic side to push in that direction and stand up, especially when it’s very clear that something is not in line with our values or our laws. I push Republicans to do the same. I wish I had greater sway on that side to be able to enforce that, but they need to step up more, and we all need to step up more to make it clear that this is unacceptable.

Even though we say we created a “company,” we just used that word because it’s easier for people to understand. But in the end, it’s not really about the company, it’s about the people. Like, who you work with. And what kind of experiences you share with them, that’s what really matters the most. So with these people, whether we go, volunteering or travel somewhere, we always move together as one group. Because if not and later on, when I write and release a song, if we hadn’t shared those experiences, I’d have to explain everything. Like, “I went somewhere and had this kind of experience…” But since we’ve all lived it together, I can just say, “Hey, I wrote this kind of song this time,” and they’ll be like, “Oh, yeah, I get it. FLEX TALK X JOONGDUNK #Flex1045xDareYouToDeath #จุงดัง #JoongDunk 🌞 sometimes if there’s a problem, talking right away might not really be the solution. for some problems talking it out immediately might be the best solutionright? but sometimes you need to go back and reflect on yourself first and then sit down and talk again 🌞 or when we assume that we’re going to sit down and our first statement might not have been something thought through very carefully.. and because we are partners we have to care about each other’s feelings more than anyone else. some things we say might be fine when said to other people but when it’s him, he might think deeply about it. what’s normal for others but we need to be extra careful with when it comes to this person. we have to be much more careful especially with our words because sometimes things we don’t think would hurt him might actually hurt him without us even realizing it so we have to sit down and study each other: what things are sensitive for him - what he cares about - what he needs. and then we have to sit down and talk again about… how to handle it together 🌻honestly i feel the same way. i feel like this is something that’s really useful. the closer we get the more we need to study each other — what this person likes - what this person don’t like. : it’s not just about constantly “courting” each other 🌞and this kind of care wasn’t always there from the beginning. caring deeply about someone close to you sometimes develops gradually and sometimes we end up neglecting the person who’s closest to us without realizing it 🌻i’m gonna cry bro 🌞no! when that happens we just sit down and talk about it — “what i did made you feel bad” then i apologize 🌻it’s simple: if this person doesn’t like something don’t do it 🌞if this person like something do it for them 🌞if accidentally do something he don’t like then apologize : it feels like we get to know each other more and more over time. it’s about continuously learning each other and caring for each other — 🌞and that never really ends because people change. who we were before may not be who we are now. like me and Dunk — Dunk wasn’t like this before so i have to study my friend again about his new things: how he’s grown - how he’s changed - the direction he’s moving in… things he used to like back then he might not like anymore. the food he enjoyed - the clothes he liked to wear — today they might be different. so we keep learning each other over and over again

Incredible last few minutes of the Rick Rubin / Adam Neumann interview. I got chills listening to this. --- Adam: We'll connected to this week's portion. We all have something that we're slaves to. We all have an addiction to anger, to ego, to power, whatever it is, idol worship that we have. We all have an Egypt. We all need to leave that Egypt, come out of it. When we come out of that Egypt, we all face a Red Sea. When we see that Red Sea, we all need to have the courage to walk into it so far that we drown. Only when we're willing to drown will the Red Sea be split and we'll go to our next level. We then go to our next level. We see the Red Sea split. Suddenly we're like, oh, everything is okay. And we forget. The moment we forget, we step into the desert. We all have to walk through our version of desert. That desert is between us, us, and God. No one else. The only decision we get to have is how long we're going to journey through that desert. Are we going to journey for 14 days like the children of Israel were supposed to? Or are we going to journey for 40 years because we're not learning our lesson? Our choice is not, are we going to get into the desert or not? It's how long will we be in. And once we go out of that desert, we all have our version of the promised land. And if we have the courage to look inside, see our own correction, our own limitation, look at it clearly now and say, I see you, and I'm going to get over it. I'm going to learn. I'm going to grow. I'm going to understand that life is not about falling down. It's about how I'm going to get up. I'm going to fall 1,000 times so I can get up 1,001 times. And in that last time when I get up and I'm actually ready to go to my next level, I'm going to wish for you, for me, and for everybody who are listening — please, may we have the courage to go to our next level because we know that the promised land is waiting right after it. And may we not be afraid when the whole world is saying this or that about us. Who cares? It's about what you think, what your wife thinks, what your kids think, and what the universe thinks.
