As crazy as this may sound… I found that using Tony Gwynn’s style of having your front foot ahead of home plate.. ..but working (almost working to exaggerate) to keep your front shoulder from passing the plate.. Resulted in long HRs. You’re right, stay over the plate.

He taught me how to hit. I watched his videos on YouTube everyday & then I would go to the cage & copy it. Everyday. I hit .335 got invited to Cape Cod that year. I have taken what he taught me & patched up any holes in what he said. TG, Oh, & Ted Williams are my teachers.
