Truth about the Switch 2 is starting to comeout. The thing has a subpar Handheld Experience for a high price tag. Has an egregious Subpar Display, with bad HDR output and No VRR in Docked mode, and VRR in handheld is poor. Not having an OLED here was a big mistake. #NintendoFlop2

Steam Frame passthrough looks serviceable. As the man says, it’s a trade off between battery life and thermals (and cost I guess). For a VR gaming-focused headset I think it’s fine

No OLED or Mini-LED? Turn off HDR. A basic LCD monitor aggressively compresses the bright lighting to fit its 400nit limit and flattens the image. Worse… to hit that fake peak, it cranks global brightness to 100%. This completely washes out the darks. Cheap HDR basically takes the game's lighting, squeezes it from the top and stretches it from the bottom. Don't let the "HDR" marketing sticker fool you. You're better off going with SDR all night. But if you do have an OLED or Mini-LED, turning on HDR will make a real difference after you calibrate it. Here's a comparison on my Mini-LED TV 👇 Notice how the shadows stay dark while the highlights pop. This is what HDR is supposed to look like.

Steam Deck is running Resident Evil 9: Requiem at a flawless locked 60fps. You don't see any of the drops you see on the inferior Nintendo Switch 2. This might be the Best Handheld version of this game. -OLED ✅️ -True HDR✅️ -No Ghosting✅️ -No Shimmering ✅️ -No Stutters ✅️ -VRR✅️ This is very impressive for a 4 year old hardware. They claim: "SWITCH 2 Display is Worst than Base SWITCH 1 Display " "Display easily scratches due to plastic coating" " LCD Blur is very apparent and creates ghosting like images compared to the PSP 1000/GBA 101/Original non backlit GB" "Can't do proper HDR" "Switch 2 is a night and day difference against the Steam Deck OLED Display that has proper HDR" "VRR Display Implementation is very poor" "SWITCH 2 wouldn't be passing any rating test, it's one of the worst we've seen" In my Conclusion the Switch 2 has the worst Display of any modern handheld ever created, straight up laughable, Nintendo should be embarrassed. 🤌 #Weaktendo #Switch2
