This is a strange response from Stephen A. Is breaking the rules ok for a superstar? The Clips were all in on Kawhi as he is one of the top players in the league. A two-way player, excellent defender and scorer. The Clips don't get much more than a sniff from James of Steph.

The Clippers don’t have a first round draft pick until 2034. They can’t tank their way out of this. They have to pray a hidden gem like Jokic somehow arrives in the second round or they won’t be competitive for a decade.

And there are other people who felt like a lot of the Clippers penalty with Kawhi Leonard had been doled out over time because this Kawhi Leonard arrangement was an absolute disaster for them. I will say that there's a lot of people that made a lot of assumptions about Adam Silver along the way. This is big of a punishment has ever been doled out in the history of the NBA. This was Lawrence Frank’s answer when asked if Uncle Dennis had ever asked for any benefits that weren’t allowed. A year later, Uncle Dennis is banned after the NBA specifically says he pressured the Clippers to violate circumvention rules.
