NEET exam cancellation, paper leaks, and irregularities are serious issues. Students deserve justice and accountability. But these vultures use every sensitive issue to push their own propaganda. The student she is talking about did not commited suicide because of the NEET paper leak. Even the family confirmed it was due to other personal reasons, yet Congressis are deliberately linking it to NEET just to provoke and emotionally manipulate students. This is exactly why many genuine issues eventually lose credibility and seriousness.

The moment I entered, I started seeing posters mocking the Prime Minister. Not posters demanding justice for the NEET paper leak. Not posters about the CBSE issues. Not posters highlighting the larger problems students are facing in education. It was almost entirely about PM Modi. That’s what made it feel so politically targeted. A protest usually has a clear demand - a “maang” that those in power are being asked to fulfill. But here, I saw opposition leaders being welcomed with applause and affection, while many Gen Z attendees who had simply come to observe were being exposed to a strongly political narrative. There’s nothing wrong with holding a protest against the Prime Minister if that’s your objective. Be transparent about it. But don’t organize it in the name of NEET, display photographs of students who lost their lives by suicid£, and then turn the stage into something that appears focused on politics rather than the students’ demands. If the issue is political, call it political. If the issue is NEET, keep the focus on NEET. Mixing the two, especially while invoking the memory of students who died, felt deeply shameful to me.

As long as it is the students who are protesting and their protest is against the irregularities and mishaps in the NEET exams, the protests are totally valid. But the moment fringe elements creep in with ulterior motives, neither the state nor the centre should remain silent, It needs to be curbed. The recent developments have only shown that apart from the campaigns against NEET, its is slowly turning into side campaigns against Article 370 abrogation, slogans chanting de*th of the Prime Minister and staging a Nepal types rebellion. It is obvious that someone else trying to hide behind the student campaigns and achieve their objective. People like Arivu who kept quite during the DMK Govt are now suddenly jumping in to protest at a place that is not allowed for protests. The TVK Govt was polite enough to even have a discussion with him when he actually went against the law.
