It’s actually just a perfect ending there’s really nothing I can think of to improve besides obviously the animation

God this literally made me cry when he said sayonara, shadow the hedgehog back in the day. It did again when I played it a year ago. Kinda crazy how we can have so many emotions about a fictional blue hedgehog game. It really felt like they could end it there, like this was the peak. Even Robotnik was saying how he wanted to be like his grandpa. It gave so much closure to everyone’s stories. Rogue said she’d give up stealing jewels because she had something better (knuckles). It was such a wholesome and cute way to wrap up everything. I’m glad it didn’t end, but I really hope sonic shines as much as he did for me back then, one day. Shadow Gens got close, but this game is seriously the peak of the series for me. It’s a shame it got a somewhat botched port, but I played it on Dreamcast and later on pc with the fixes, so it really was the peak. There’s a reason that sonic made such an impact. The classics are great, and many argue it was those games that made the impact. But for me, this was it. This game was what made me love Sonic, so you can’t blame me for being sad about how the rest of the games afterward turned out. I’m still chasing the wonderful high that this game delivered, and I sure hope I’m not chasing it forever. One day, I hope we all get to catch up.

Dude its so damn good. Considering the fact that this game was essentially the Dreamcast’s swan song (unless you count karous) this ending hits even harder. The last Sonic game to release on a sega console. What a way to go out.
