I don't know when they started letting people use food stamps for soda pop, etc. I know a gal who bought extravagant birthday cakes for her kids with EBT. When I was a kid, food stamps were more like WIC. And before that, we got powdered milk, eggs, and peanut butter in cans. 😳

I can't get my soda, sugar, candy and junk food.. I might actually lose some weight, God forbid!
