Ingredients Bananas: 3 large, very ripe (the more spots, the better) Butter: 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted Sugar: 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar or brown sugar Egg: 1 large, beaten Vanilla: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Baking Soda: 1 teaspoon Salt: A pinch (about 1/4 teaspoon) Flour: 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour Preparation and Baking Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease your loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray. Mash: In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until they are smooth. Mix Wet Ingredients: Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined. Add Dry Ingredients: Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir. Finally, stir in the flour. Mix just until the flour disappears , do not overmix, or the bread will be tough. Bake: Pour the batter into your prepared pan. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes. How to Tell It Is Done The bread is ready when a toothpick or skewer inserted into the center comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs. Pro Tip: Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before moving it to a wire rack. This helps it set so it doesn't crumble when you slice
