Stop centering text in your UI

Appreciate this. You just made me go open my own website and start fixing things.

This is cheating. The biggest change is getting rid of a bunch of text. Price is now too small to read.

Thank you for making this video. I've been preaching this for years and you made the principle very clear. I would add that dyslexic people have a particular problem with center aligned paragraphs.

Once you notice this you can't unsee it in half the apps you use. Is there ever a case where centered still works, or is left align just always right?

Yes!

Centering everything reads as timid. Left-aligned with real breathing room feels deliberate. Most UI problems are just too much symmetry.

Centering is lazy design.

Who the hell knows the word UI and doesn't know text alignment styles?
