You are literally all shoulders and chest brother. You could use some deadlifts and squats.

People in the know are not deadlifting for primarily lower back development and strength. It’s an overall movement that stimulates quads hams glutes Entire back muscles and thickness as well as upper body development as well. One or the best overall compound movement you can do

This is just for people who strictly want hypertrophy. It’s great for strength. Back extensions and hip thrusts are fine accessory work, but they don’t develop the ability to produce force across a full posterior chain in an integrated, loaded pattern.

this is decent advice if for guys whose goal is to look sexy to men.

Yeah if you’re looking for hypertrophic exercise, from what I understand, you aren’t getting much. I deadlift to be strong af though.

You’re not a good coach 😂

You built your physique off of bullshit substances lmao. You shouldn’t be giving anyone advice regarding lifting.

Deadlifts are for men you wouldn’t understand

What’s your definition of close to failure? How many reps in reserve?

1-2

A random guy online wants us to take his word as gospel instead of years of scientific research and hypertrophy studies. Absolute 🛎️ end.

Deadlifts are for functional strength of the entire body as a system, not hypertrophy.

Some of us like being able to protect our people in foreign nations. If you can’t deadlift, you can’t fight lol 😂

If you're deadlifting and your back is sore you're not doing it with the correct form. It should never tax your lower back. Building strength through deadlifting is from one of the best ways to enhance your performance in so many areas. Especially walking and running.

Its funny how guys with good muscle building genetics hate the deadlift. We’re glad you accidentally got muscular and strong not doing it but tell that to the unathletic skinny fat dude whose baseline deadlift is 135. The wasted effort is the time these guys spend listening to naturals who are inexperienced at problem solving issues they never had to work through.

Its literally the best compound exercise you can do 🤣🤡 keep dosing that trizepi bro

Yep, I talked about this here. Deadlifts kill your spine if not now, eventually. Have a short read. Cheers 🥂 🙂

"It's too risky, it uses too much energy." I can not believe a grown man is saying these things. In the fitness industry, no less. What a disgrace.

Its okay to be gay bro. Its 2026....

Depends on your goals. If building strength then deadlifts are fantastic

Any effort put it is not wasted by definition. Plus it feels nice to lift heavy things

Isn’t Romanian deadlift basically the same?

No deadlifting for me with L5,S1 damage. I'd do back extensions with low weight higher reps.

Faggot, SHUT YOUR FUCKING RETARDED MOUTH.

It’s spot on. The reward of a dead lift is no where near unique enough to warrant the potential risk, which can be, and I’m not saying it’s likely, but can be very significant and long lasting. You simply don’t need the deadlift for anything. Your physique will not lack at all

What a pussy

It works my glutes, entire back, hamstrings, and even quads

Greg knows nothing about weight lifting. He’s a mega steroid junkie

Man card, personal trainer card revoked. If your low back is the only significant stimulus, you have no idea what you are doing first of all. Secondly, the point of it is the effort. The effort produces strength and resilience. It also stimulates more natural anabolic hormones.

such cope. bro can’t squat or pull much so now has spent the last half decade rationalizing

Neurologist here. Keep deadlifting and L4-L5 will humble you. If you wanna know what that is keep on.

How old are you bro? Cuz I might have to follow you and start listening

Sounds like you never learned proper deadlift form... sad

If you are anti-deadlift it’s because you never learned how to properly perform the exercise. You don’t lift the weight w your back.
