Apparently, I saw this video online and I decided to share. What this worker is applying is called bitumen, or what many of us know as bituminous coating. Most people think a wall is a solid, impenetrable block, but in reality, it is more like a sponge. Concrete and blocks have microscopic pores that pull water from the earth through a process we call capillary action. This thick black substance is the shield that stops that water from climbing up into the house. It is not about making the wall look good because this part will be buried under the dirt forever. It is about creating a skin that water cannot breathe through. When do you need to do this? The need for this arises because the soil is a very aggressive environment. Water is not your only enemy.. The ground also contains salts and sulfates that want to eat away at the cement. If this moisture finds its way to the steel bars inside the columns, those bars will start to rust. And when steel rusts, it expands, and that expansion is what cracks the concrete from the inside out. This coating is the only thing standing between your foundation and that kind of slow destruction. Thats is why if you see wet patches at the bottom of your walls inside your house, it usually means someone skipped this step or did it poorly during construction. You can apply this anytime you are building parts of a structure that will stay in contact with the ground. It is common in areas where the water table is high or where the soil stays damp for most of the year. This is a one-shot opportunity. Once you backfill the soil, you can never go back to fix it without a lot of expense and a lot of digging. It is about having the foresight to protect the heart of the building while it is still exposed. Please don’t ignore this if you need to. If you ignore it now to save a bit of money, you will be funding the future decay of your own home. I hope this helps.

They just opened this mall in Ede. It belongs to Governor Adeleke. And a school is taking children on an excursion to it. On the surface, this might look like progress. But let us ask the hard questions. Despite all the investment Governor Adeleke is sinking into Ede, can it be sustained? And even worse, why is he doing it at the expense of every other town in Osun? This is not governance. This is the Adenization of Osun State. I call whoever I want the n-word whenever I deem it necessary or funny. Further, I encourage everyone to do it. Do it. Hearing such sentences even one time can destroy their lives, and they will spend the rest of their lives in a state of anxiety. They will succumb to perfectionism, trying to prove their worth even in meaningless things. They will no longer be able to relax or chill. They will always try to overcompensate. The caste system is one of the most evil systems ever conceived by humankind. And yes, anyone who advocates it, validates it, or even slightly leans toward it is my enemy. I will have no respect for you or your upbringing. This is my stand, and I will take these words to my grave. This is the bare minimum. Everyone must condemn the caste system and try to abolish it. Rejoice. Just following up with another quick W in Codex You can now configure your reasoning level in plan mode separately directly from your config file. This is huge for Plus users who want to plan with high or xhigh reasoning levels, and then switch over to medium reasoning for implementation, without needing the slash command. This is a great way to save your usage limits, and now it happens automatically. Even if you're on Pro, this should make you very happy. Prior to this, it was switching you automatically to medium every time you planned, which was pretty annoying. Place this near the top of your config file: plan_mode_reasoning = "high" (or xhigh) 0.150.0 is a massive quality of life update. They're clearly listening. This time I am shouting out Charlie. 🙏

You took a chance on someone who wasn’t the traditional fit for this community, walked into dinners blind (a hidden guest list and no guarantee of what you’d get out of it) and gave me the one thing in this world you can’t buy back: your time. Growing up I was drawn to lot of startup movies/shows (The Social Network, Silicon Valley) and all I ever wanted as someone 10,000 miles away from where all of that was happening, was to be in it. In the restaurant industry, family meal is a moment when bartenders, servers, cooks, dishwashers eat together and get to know each other outside of service. Too often as founders, researchers, investors, engineers, you’re expected to always have the right answers, be “impressive” and in a constant state of being “on.” In a world where everything is so transactional, Family Meal was created to take you off your proverbial line and give everyone a break from the performance.
