People will not understand this. I have seen people throwing garbage in public places without any hesitation even if the dustbin is 5-6 feet away from them. And if you point out, they are ready to argue.

In hinduism, where so much importance is given to ‘पवित्रता’ and cleanliness, it amazes me how we ended up here.

Rural guys will never understand the core meaning of civic sense unless they are severely penalised and brought under the purview of laws. This is the need of hour and should seriously be implemented to improve slight change in lifestyle.

Even locals don't have empathy for their surroundings, how can we expect tourists to follow basic civic sense.

Throwing waste on roads, canals,on railway tracks, spitting on roads is disgraceful to our country. People want to live more civilised society but doing disgusting things.

Asking people follow Basic civic sense in India is like asking them to donate all critical organs without anesthesia. This is India, it's a jungle, there are no dustbins in the wild.

This is a big problem which majority of people are not worried about. Worse, majority of people don’t recognise it as a problem at all. So sad.

the two deterrences i can think of are and you need to implement these in the order as well: 1. firstly you need to have extreme enough punishments as deterrents so that the adults themselves are scared of consequences so much so that they stop doing this 2.teach the kids at....
