Glasgow City Council and Network Rail are working to ensure the station is safe for passenger services to return, and trains will only resume once it is safe. 🚆✅ We're delighted to announce that we're able to resume our normal timetable from Glasgow Central High Level on Wednesday (25 March), after work was completed to reinstate the remaining platforms at the station. ℹ️ Public safety is still the main priority so not all entrances and exits to the high level are open. An exclusion zone around the area worst affected by the fire is still in place so the entrances to the station on Gordon Street and Union Street will remain closed until further notice. 📱 We're advising customers to continue to check their journey before travelling as there may be some minor alterations to services due to some trains being out of position following the station closure. We're sorry for the impact that flooding caused by Storm Chandra is having on our customers. Following Storm Ingrid, a large sink hole has appeared between Dawlish and Teignmouth and this will need to be filled. The railway line between Exeter St Davids and Newton Abbott will therefore need to be closed between 19:00 on Wednesday 28 January and 07:00 on Thursday 29th January, to allow this work to take place. Online journey planners are being updated to reflect the changes and customers should check carefully at before they travel. For more information please visit

As Tropical Storm Lee continues to move slowly across the province, parts of Nova Scotia are experiencing wind gusts that can make conditions hazardous for our crews. When wind speeds are over 80km an hour, it isn’t safe for our crews to be up in the buckets and so we focus on assessing damage, responding to 911 calls, and restoring power from the ground where possible. In some parts of the province, we anticipate that these significant winds will continue for much of today. We do our best to give an estimate of when power will be restored. As we continue to assess damage across the province, we will update estimates. We encourage everyone to keep an eye on for the latest information. THE SUPERHERO FAMILY DAY, TUESDAY 21ST JULY 2026 – ABANDONED We regret to inform you that due to a technical fault, our irrigation system is unable to water the racecourse to safe levels. Horse welfare is paramount and therefore racing on Tuesday 21st July will not go ahead. This includes all additional funfair rides and activities. Everyone on our team is truly devastated. We had a fantastic day planned for all our racegoers and have explored every possible alternative to save all or part of the day, but unfortunately none of the options were viable. We are incredibly sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience this will cause, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding. All ticket holders will receive an email within the next 48 hours about how to receive a full refund. This issue will be rectified within the coming days and all other racedays will go ahead as planned.

We urge you to take this storm seriously. Please listen to your local officials, and if you are told to evacuate, please do so immediately. Do not wait until it is too late. Already, we have sent more than 1,000 federal personnel to be on the ground in Florida to assist with preparation for this hurricane, and we will continue to scale up those efforts. We will continue to do everything we can to protect the people who are in the path of this storm. Once the storm has passed, we will be there to help folks recover and rebuild as we are continuing to do for the communities in Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina, and across the southeast who have been devastated by Hurricane Helene.

Earlier today, as I was transferring a critically ill patient due to the ongoing strike, I met a group of nurses who asked me to listen to them. I heard their concerns and spoke to the management at KNH. I know times are tough, but I’m hopeful a solution will be found soon. I believe the leadership has a good heart, and this issue will be resolved. To all our nurses thank you for your dedication and the incredible work you continue to do. The care of patients has truly improved. God bless you all, and enjoy the rest of your Tuesday.
