ScotRail's full timetable will be restored from Monday, 7 October 2024. Everyone at ScotRail is focused on delivering a safe, reliable, and green service for our customers and the return to a normal timetable is something we know our customers have been waiting patiently for.

funny how it’s restored as soon as you go back to full prices tickets. The reason you never got the required footfall for off peak pricing is because you put in place a reduced timetable🙃

Just to pitch in with the concerns about pricing. It's now £19.90 peak fare from Stg to Edi and I know this is even heftier Gla to Edi. When are we going to get a public transport system that actually works and is affordable?

Great news, time to sort the pricing out next as only way you are going to convince commuters out of cars etc. We have monthly rail pass for 20euro in portugal and similar across the continent. While it costs £31.40 for the < 1hr trip between EDI & GLA.

Unfortunately with the ridiculous prices many will not be using them. Then no doubt the service will be cut. Usual train half empty this morning. People voting with their feet fed up with the price and hassle of travelling by train.

Well lets no kid ourself its not anywhere near a Full timetable its still way short nearly 300 odd trains from the previous timetable abellio used to run before the goverment cuts if im not mistaken 👍

I am travelling to Edinburgh City Centre tomorrow from Glasgow for work. The price of a return means I am significantly cheaper driving to the outskirts then getting a tram. For several months, it has been great getting the train when I did that journey. No more trains for me

What that temporary timetable that was extended and extended..? Trains will still be delayed everyday.. the cleanliness on said ‘services’ is becoming appalling.. but this justifies all reinstating of peak fares.. Honestly, a Joke of a ‘service’ at this point..

Doubt many are that excited given the whopping prices are even more whopping than last week, if I could afford to travel it would likely be on an ancient carriage likely cold on the west coast line with no facilities

Glasgow City Council and Network Rail are working to ensure the station is safe for passenger services to return, and trains will only resume once it is safe. Thank you to everyone who has shown patience and understanding following the tragic incident at Bedford South on Friday 19 June. Our thoughts remain with everyone affected. As services return, some journeys may still be subject to short-notice changes. Customers are advised to check their journey before travelling to the station.

🚆✅ We're delighted to announce that we're able to resume our normal timetable from Glasgow Central High Level on Wednesday (25 March), after work was completed to reinstate the remaining platforms at the station. ℹ️ Public safety is still the main priority so not all entrances and exits to the high level are open. An exclusion zone around the area worst affected by the fire is still in place so the entrances to the station on Gordon Street and Union Street will remain closed until further notice. 📱 We're advising customers to continue to check their journey before travelling as there may be some minor alterations to services due to some trains being out of position following the station closure. 🚨Update: As of 5am Saturday 6th June approximately 500 thousand customers of just under 700 thousand customers have been restored across all parishes overnight. It is expected the remaining affected customers will be restored by early this morning. I have called an emergency meeting with JPS for noon today at the jps command center which will be followed by a press briefing. I have been closely monitoring the situation all night and will continue to do so until full restoration is completed. I commit to keeping the nation advised and updated on this UNACCEPTABLE SITUATION.

⚠️Storm Floris disruption to continue into Tuesday⚠️ Storm Floris continues to bring very strong and disruptive winds across Scotland, with an amber Met Office warning in place until 23:00 across Glasgow, Edinburgh, and all areas north of the Central Belt area. A further yellow warning is in place across all other areas of Scotland, until the end of today. The damage caused by the storm has been extensive, including trees falling onto overhead wires and tracks. Network Rail will soon begin work to recover the railway, as a number of routes will need to be inspected once the storm has passed and then repair work carried out. While some checks will be carried out later tonight, further inspections will be needed during daylight hours, which will cause disruption to services on some routes on Tuesday morning. Customers planning to travel on Tuesday should check their journey before travelling using the ScotRail app, website and our page. ScotRail tickets dated Monday, 4 August, will be valid for travel on our services tomorrow, Tuesday, 5 August.
