Think the split decisions from everyone posting shows how difficult it is. However, there’s no place for that lunge- not a trip, in the game. Can end careers as you just have to hit the Achilles at the wrong angle, or fall awkwardly and that’s it.

Once you lunge like that you are taking a big risk. Might have looked dangerous from the ref's view if he though he could have done the player some damage. But you'll see that as a yellow card most matches.

Correct decision red card all day long

Certainly didn’t look like it for me yesterday and this hasn’t changed my mind. Booking yes, cynical trip but can’t see it as a straight red.

Don’t think anyone in the ground saw this as a red card you could see the surprise on everyone’s face including players from both sides
