Strategy is the superior genre

I just realized Anno games are too safe/boring. You need an enemy knocking at your door.

Agree

Women will never understand the deep emotional bond between a young man and that one early-game unit with high veterancy.

What’s RTS? Merry Christmas btw

Merry Christmas Brother RTS = real time strategy

You as well brother 🎄🎅🏿

Best strategy games: Imperialism Shogun 2 CK2 X-Com Starcraft 2 Command & Conquer Generals Age of Empires 2 HOI4 Rome 2 Civ III Red Alert 2 Dune II Europa Universalis Company of Heroes

"just a quick in and out its not like 1 battle can extend so much":

'The battlefield was on a plain like so...' -Pompey Magnus

For example Age of Mythology retold, where you can have the true Athena

The speeches of the Generals in Rome: Total War are the entire reason to play the game. If your general isn't batshit crazy and talking about his pet spiders, or wildly racist against his enemies, you are doing it wrong.

Alright lads. Best beginner RTS to get a noob going. Go:

For those who don’t know, the music is from Rome Total War

What is the movie title?

Rome , it’s a series

So fucking satysifing every time

Can't believe Creative Assembly don't use Jeff's music anymore.

My dad showing 6 year old me Command and Conquer Generals changed my life

By far the best display of a Roman Legion at work in any series/movie.

RTS is where it's at

The speech before the beat drops on this song is insane

T R U E

Troops lore in Rome 2 Total War

the trauma that my little soldiers go through as a consequence of my super genius (100% suicidal) tactical genius

Why Total War is the best. Has both.

RETURN TO FORMATION!

Excellent day.

RTT is the same but better, like the battle mode in TW.

I just can't get into it man.

Tis only boring to those without minds of strategy, but you also make a good point!

Part 2 please???

Adrenaline must have been insane. Im at the same time jealous and thankfull that probably I will never experience that.

Jeff van Dyck's Rome soundtrack has a very special place in my heart.

TBS>RTS.

Warfare is the sport of KINGS.

My valiant conscript vet 3 squad rushing into the mg hell just to snare KT so Allied TD's can molest it to death.

Commanding my ragtag American militia against the overwhelming horde of the English and watching my men sacrifice their lives to buy time for the rest of the army to retreat to a better position and continue fighting until the very end is kino
