Grain and straw yield horrific here. Shouldn’t have gambled the very late drilling conditions given what we’ve had since. Lesson learned.

First time in nearly 50 years I’ve cut winter barley at 6.30 in the morning lots of straw by 10 it was just like yours and yes out of a straw walker . I stopped at 3 as the moisture had dropped to 10.8 #Harvest25 the year which keeps on giving.

It comes and goes, won’t be much and bales will be hard to pick up with the grab.

Baler men are gonna think they are Lewis Hamilton at the speed they are gonna go this year!

Straw prices will go through the roof this year!

Drill baby drill eh ???? We need to listen to Mother Nature .
