This decision by the Ministry of Education is not only unrealistic but also unfair. Forcing 3rd-year students to complete a year of compulsory teaching service without proper planning, compensation, or consultation is unacceptable. Education policy must be made with students.

I think it is good for students if they understand it well. It is also better to have discussions with the Ministry of Education rather than protesting in an unstable country. When will we, as Ethiopians, learn to discuss our problems instead of criticizing each other?

If Dr Abye steps down, the Oromo people may lose their fundamental right as Tigray, Amhara and others can unite,e.g.they have experience in oppressive rule and resistance to armed oppositions. Dr Abye held the rule somewhere 7 yrs. Finally, the game seems to be a gamble.

I do not support Prof. Birhanu Nega's proposal for University students to spend a year on a national activity. That is a pure waste of time and resources. Also, a waste of students' opportunities. But I also oppose running all these universities. They are simply unnecessary!

I thought their demand was ETHIOPIA OUT OF OROMIA.
