Students from across the three formations recently completed Exercise BREAK IN, a 108 hour Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) exercise conducted during the Young Officers (YOs) Course. Included is also footage from the All Arms Standard NCO Course, completing their own MOUT exercise. Students were assessed in urban... operations, close target reconnaissance and platoon command before assaulting, securing and defending a built up area (BUA) against a simulated enemy counter attack. Following MOUT, the Infantry YOs deployed on Exercise HARD STOP, a 96 hour defensive exercise where students were assessed in conventional defensive tactics, techniques and procedures before moving onto the final portion of the exercise phase, a 96 hour offensive exercise. #ÓglaighnahÉireannshow more
