A student talks about the targeting of Jewish students at Concordia University university yesterday, bragging that "We terrified them!" Let us be clear - we will not be paralyzed by fear. We will continue to advocate & work with law enforcement to ensure the safety & security of the community. We will continue to stand proud & tall as Jewish Canadians. #cndpoli #AmIsraelChai

A major shakeup to the federal student loan system affecting millions of borrowers will take effect July 1. The changes mean some Americans — especially lower-income borrowers — will face higher monthly payments on their student loans.

Student loan debt is not a partisan issue it’s an American issue. My discharge petition will bring H.R. 2003 Affordable Loans for Students Act straight to the floor and cap federal student loan interest rates at 2% To be clear: this is not a bailout, this is about making sure Americans who are trying to build a better future don’t have to spend their whole lives trying to pay off their debts. Congressman Jared Moskowitz

Too many universities are selling immigration, not education. A Reform UK government will end this. No foreign student will be permitted to take up a taxpayer-funded student loan to study in the UK. This will save £2bn pet year. Let’s support British students.

Too many universities are selling immigration, not education. Last year, about 250,000 foreign students took up taxpayer-funded student loans to pay for their courses in the UK, worth £4bn. This is not fair. A Reform UK government will make sure that the British taxpayer is not paying for foreign students. Let’s put British students first.

The student loan misselling scandal? Labour inherited a student loan system designed by the Tories that can only be described as “Frankenstein’s monster”. I raised Plan 2 loans in Parliament, for the millions of graduates fed up of paying the price of a poor Tory era policy.
