Back when Dave was about being funny.

When late night was worth staying up for

Love how Dave shook the dogs paw

Letterman was a study break time in college.

Yes. When late night was great...

Can he train a president?

OMGosh, that was glorious! I'm sure I wasn't alone in thinking "Play dead? Lots of dogs have been taught that trick," but somehow the surprise of having him do it in the man's arms made it sublime. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

one of my faves. :)

Oh man, I am cracking up. We need more of this these days.

I still watch clips of the Tonight Show regularly on YouTube! 👍🏻😂😂

Dogs will do anything for a treat!

I will watch this several times every time it comes on.

She must have seen her parents shot in an ATF raid…

@suebouchard313 I miss Letterman so much! ♥️

I love that Letterman gets such a good laugh out of this. 😂🤣

@pvdork @WokeOldMan.

And that’s the night when people started carrying dogs 😃

😂😂👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼Hilarious!

🤯🤭🙄😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

😂. I miss those segments!

Not knowing, or caring, about anyone's political affiliations on a minute-to-minute basis seemed to make us more carefree and happier

I miss Letterman. I liked him the most of all. He is smart, kind and funny. The last of his kind.

Now we just get this idiocracy

Oh, DG, my best laugh of the week!

🥰

Good ole days is absolutely right. This is when late night shows were truly entertainment. Priceless.

When comedy was just comedy.

I remember this. The good'ol days indeed. Rest In Peace, Bailey, and thank you for the laughter.

I remember that one. Great

Sooo funny!!!!!!

I remember watching this when it aired. After Carson, Letterman was the only one who could pull it off. I miss those days.

MORE OF THIS PLEASE

Dave's laughter makes it even better.

used to watch this and talk about it the next day with friends at college - it was in nyc that's how i learned to speak openly in english (and to have good friends) somehow i was able to understand dave's humor and his way of speech
